@c1nnamonbunny My son always asks for spaghetti or pizza ๐ ๐คฃ he's 4 though.
My daughter loves eggs.
My husband pretty much eats everything I make
My oldest son had a GF that ended up pregnant. When they came over and told us, I looked right in his face and said 'are you sure it's yours?' He got pissed and said, 'We'll just leave if you feel that way!" I said, Just wondering. After the kid was 8 months old (he babysat alot for that little girl while she ran the bars) he said 'mom, she doesn't look like anyone in our family!" So one day he was babysitting and came over. I got a DNA test and we took that test. The results came back 100% NOT his. He broke down crying. I felt sorry for him. BUT, I do remember her dad would not let my son in the delivery room, unfortunately he signed the documents the next day as The Father. So, after all this shit, I got on the internet, downloaded all the forms to get his name OFF the birth certificate. Nice try bitch, because she got knocked up by some under employed loser that already had 1 kid by someone else. It took a while, but the county courts demanded my son and the baby go to a DNA place thru the courts. The bitch didn't show up, my son did. The sheriff was sent to her house with a warrant. After the tests, again, the baby was not his. Name finally removed from the birth certificate. Dumb bitch. Thought she was going to pull one over on my son, but not as long as this momma was alive!!!
@ChanceOSadness My mom would give us kids a bucket so we didn't have to leave the bed. However, as I grew it was "make it to the bathroom then clean it up."
Pretty sure there was something said about the smartest people wearing the same outfits and eating the same diet over and over again. Removing decision fatigue. Just make a couple of go to meals for each week.
Please come up with 365 meals, not using the same one more than once a month with pork, beef, and chicken. Also take into account how many people youre feeding and their different diets and preferences.
@honorablesaint Shoot, I was cooking dinner with my one week old with 2 toddlers to care for. It's not that hard. Is it the easiest thing? No, but this performative martyrdom is obnoxious.
We understand that pork is haram in Islam.
What you seem to misunderstand is that your religious restrictions are not universal rules that everyone else must obey.
Your faith entitles you to choose what you eat, not to dictate what others may eat. Repeating โpork is haramโ eight times doesnโt make that distinction any less obvious.
Therapist donโt know how to answer this question? Fire them all.
Here is your answer:
Oh, honey. People growing up have always felt this way, usually under insurmountable odds. The young always face a changing and challenging landscape because the reality of human life is that the landscape is perpetually exactly that. People woke up early to feed their kids and get about the work of their day through plagues, famines, good times, feast days, war, great loves, hard times. You will have your own challenges. AI will warp all our lives. Someoneโs idiot son will cheat in you and ruin your year. Youโll have a beautiful kid or two. Life will surprise you. This is terrifying and mundane all at the same time. Everything is new every generation and yet somehow there is nothing new under the sun. So go to class, go on dates, learn to bake bread, pick a fight with your brother, go live your life. You arenโt special and thatโs the best possible news for all of us.
I'm not totally against screen time. We use the tv, my 4 year old loves the preschool prep videos on YouTube. Math facts, learning letters, words, and numbers. Its a great use of the technology. Plus, they absolutely love music. Turn on Spotify & its turns into a dance party.
The fact that when my family goes to restaurants and my 4 and 2 year old say thank you and please to the waiters and waitresses makes them look shocked and pleased makes me wonder how other kids are taught to interact with the world. Are they all on tablets? Are they rude?
Everything older people said would happen with modern child rearing has happened. And the young parents scream and stamp their feet because they know it's true, but they want no responsibility.
It all happened:
-Picky eater explosion, catered to with special meals
-Terrified to do normal things like walk a half mile to school; weren't allowed, mommy chauffered
-Won't make eye contact, can't respond normally to small talk, got "diagnosed" with "autism." Mommy gave them phones when young
-Think they're the opposite sex, or a cat, or an animal. Mommy didn't want to challenge them and damage their self-esteem.
-Can't even *understand* what nested file folder are, paper or digital. Literally don't understand information hierarchy. Were given phones and apps from childhood
-Narcissistic to an extreme degree. Selfish, rude, and demanding, all while being incompetent.
Lots of factors, but they all boil down to inadequate parenting. Too many moms and too few dads (and weak dads when they're around).
Mommie's role is supposed to diminish as the children age; dad is supposed to introduce them to self sufficiency and the wider world.
Even in married households, Mommie's Kindergarten Rules go all the way through childhood while Dad sits in the cuck chair watching his children get handicapped by an out of control broody hen.
Every single thing "stupid old people" said would happen did happen.

@poosygalorest I'm not acting superior, however if you see my abilities to be so, I'll wear that with honor. Being uncomfortable for what will be the breifest of moments in my life will be well worth taking care of my children the way I know they need to be cared for.
This one post made a lot of wimps upset for some reason.
Why are people so hostile that we let the men who provide for us sleep while breastfeeding exclusively?
