There is a lot of talk about the Ospreys and the lack of owning their own stadium and recent attendances are a reason why they deserve to be the team cut.
This frankly is a very simplistic argument.
Firstly, the only team to own its own stadium is the Dragons.
Parc y Scarlets owned by council.
Arms park by Cardiff athletic.
Secondly, attendances.
Ospreys started with excellent attendances at the liberty. But the size of the stadium lacked atmosphere. Combined with matches played at stupid times meant supporters drifted away. Cardiff experienced the same when they moved to the city stadium.
Cardiff moved back to arms parc and attendances improved significantly.
Ospreys had plans to move back to St Helens and it’s reasonable to think the same improvement would have been seen.
The reason and only reason the Ospreys look like they are finished is the dishonesty of their owners Y11 and the WRU.

As many of you will have seen, the Trust and @SwanseaAlliance have been calling for fans to show their support for the @Ospreys by chanting their name in the 11th minute of Sunday’s game against @swfc 🦢🤝🏉

We have been talking to the club regarding this over the past couple of days and can now confirm that a notice of support will be displayed on the big screens during the 11th minute.

Let’s be loud and show the world that we stand shoulder to shoulder with our dear friends and neighbours @Ospreys and @OspreysSC
