@AmyDickman4 Thanks Amy for the useful suggestion for the future. In this case, the number is +263 772 897 842. The receiver does speak English and is coordinating the burial.

@Julius_S_Malema@ali_naka@AfrikParliament Charumbira is a tribalist, but he suggested a good thing "dialogue to form GNU without elections" it's reasonable. Our elections will always be messy & bloody.
@tSasRolfes @ulrik_gh Another obvious result of hunting bans is local extinction of species. It legitimizes poaching in the eyes of custodians, leading to reckless exploitation.
@ulrik_gh It's more than two things. A third is that local people will attempt to make up for lost income by increasing the rate of hunting (selling more hunts at lower rates to locals) and/or exploiting wildlife in other ways (e.g., selling their body parts such as tusks, horns, or bones)
1/2 My main message the European Parliament hunting/biodiversity event: Namibia has a robust governance framework that seeks to protect wildlife and promote rural development. As a result of our conservation success, we host some of the greatest wildlife populations in the world.
This morning, I am participating in an event on the role of hunting in the protection of biodiversity at the European Parliament. I will talk about the success of Namibia's community-led wildlife conservation approach which includes conservation hunting.
Happy Birthday Elsa! Born 67 years ago today, we feature this special lioness on our charity logo. The true story of her journey to freedom inspires everything we do to protect wildlife. In her memory, adopt Elsa’s Pride🦁🧡

This is quite timely given the @HenrySmithUK PMB about #trophy hunting - some perspectives on the inequity & #conservation ineffectiveness of such blanket bans, led by @yukondoug https://t.co/vWdm4rG5sK
An important interview regarding a recent study on how protected areas do better in areas where the neighbouring communities are brought on board and considered in conservation decisions. Highlighting CAMPFIRE 🇿🇼 and Conservancies in 🇳🇦 as successes.

@LeadersSouthern While #localcommunities are too poor to hire lobbyists like super rich celebrities do, they have the capacity to encroach these wildlife reserves to oblivion. Unless wildlife has utility value for #localcommunities, it will not be tolerated in their lands. Think smart & long-term
Well said @MrRyanJDalton - I too dislike trophy hunting but am troubled by the misinformation and neo-colonialism in this debate, especially from people who have never been to Africa. I love wildlife, respect the local communities + strive to keep an open mind. 👇
