On the impeachment of DP H.E. Gachagua, most of us are focused on honesty and NOT just the outcome of this situation.
Their alleged personal battles should NOT involve an entire community as a "shield"
Whatever transpires between the DP & President, Kenyans still want and demand development & progressive politics.
You want to know where the money went? Look around you, visit your aunties, ask your parents. It bought the houses, the cars, the holidays, paid your college. Here is the low down. The country is going to change and you are welcome to join, but be careful where you throw stones 2/2
Irony of these cool kids protesting Finance Bill they are clueless about is many are children of the plunderers who’ve bankrupted the State, the tenderpreneurs, the #KenyattaCronyCapitalismStateCapture and corruption cartels I’ve been battling since before they were born 1/2
“I am a Villager—and Kenya is my Village”. Having been to over a 110 out of 195 UN member states, I am a citizen of the “Global Village”. Spiritually, I love facing Mount Kenya from my Kenyanjeru (“New Kenya”) Village home in Murang’a. Hail villager, down with parochialism!!
@IEAKwame You make a good point here. We need to grow incomes, which means focus on initiatives with high job-opportunity creation multipliers. Perhaps that is where the IEA think tank should take this conversation. A policy brief on the same would do the trick. Food4🤔
@NdunguWainaina@IEAKwame Our think tanks need to become the centres of public policy innovation. They need to become thought-leaders, not thought-replicators. They should offer GoK compelling reasons for listen - the proverbial offer that they cannot refuse. Food4🤔
@AnuarSaddat@MRSMuruguu@WilliamsRuto May be it would be better if you cited figures. Otherwise you run the risk of reciting narratives doing the rounds in the public domain. Food4🤔
@smutoro The manufacturing sector has been ignored for a very long time. The significance here is something the CEO said. That the GM-Isuzu has been there for 45 years. This is the 1st President to visit them. And it is because he is prioritising the Manufacturing Agenda. 👏👏👏
Kenya cemented her place as the only force to reckon with in Geopolitics&Africa’s investment hub. The stampede from leading world leaders with their investments delegation jetting into Nairobi for bilateral talks with President William Ruto underscores Kenya’s place in the world.
The State Visit by Chancellor of Germany, H.E Olaf Scholz in State House, Nairobi underscores the confidence the community of nations and international investors have in Kenya Kwanza and the leadership of President William Ruto .
It is about time Africa, with its infinite natural wealth, human capital and untold riches stamp its authority as the new diaspora. It must refuse to be West and US lapdogs. It should refuse to be ranked, categorized and profiled in terms that least defines her and capabilities.
The lull that was extended for talks is over. The ODM desperate to fall back to their default settings deliberately sabotaged the talks to justify return to the streets to cause mayhem, chaos, looting, vandalism and wanton destruction of property.
President @WilliamsRuto as a promise keeper is keen on delivering on his pledge of Agriculture and Agribusiness . The departure from rain fed agriculture is a major leap in exterminating food insecurity. In keeping his word, he commissioned the Kiiria Buuri Irrigation Development Project in mitigating the unemployment crisis by creating 30,000 job opportunities.
The 5,000 farmers engaged will gainfully participate in nation building and further realize the much needed food security. With one stroke, the President has added the impetus to the deliberate efforts to lower food prices through proven practical homegrown solutions.
It’s goes without saying that the availability and prices of essential commodities and staples in our dining tables will significantly reduce. For the long term, mechanization and modernization of agriculture through Irrigation will create a consistent produce and surplus for export and value addition.
Undoubtedly, President William Ruto’s government will restore Kenya’s glory as a bountiful bread basket and improve Kenya’s current account by exporting its fresh produce abroad. Shortly Kenya will be a thriving nation.
