As Mid-Majors continue to sell us that the power 5 schools are stealing or attempting to steal all of their players.
Data shows us that 60% of transfers were down transfers. (With 46% of those transfers being out of Division 1 entirely)
And only 9% were up-transfers.
New York is a terrible sports town. Too many transplants, too much going on, too much money. The best sports towns are downtrodden post-industrial cities with chips on their shoulders, shitty weather and provincial streaks.
@Bamalover18@JaxsonDimes@44sunwolf@wthomassports Players would like to sign contracts. The NCAA/Schools are fighting in court against it. Johnson v. NCAA.
So we go back to the point that the schools don’t want this.
@Bamalover18@JaxsonDimes@44sunwolf@wthomassports The NCAA is just an org the money passes through, the Governance committee which enforces and makes new rules is done by school presidents and athletic directors.
For all realistic purposes the schools are the NCAA. Much like the NFL teams are the NFL.
@Bamalover18@44sunwolf@wthomassports@JaxsonDimes Scholarships are hard to hold up as contracts. So attempting to stop players/students from going to other schools is how we got Ohio vs. NCAA where 10 states sued the NCAA.
And all transfer restrictions went away as the transfer rules were agreed upon as too restrictive.
@twizms@SarksDaddy A player who is best when they have the ball in their hands adjusting to less touches can be successful, but at no point in her career has the adjustment needed to be made for her to have less touches.
@LM4risktaker@JTreallyhim@breannadache If anything Gen Z is the most sober generation ever and night life isn’t really being sustained by them. https://t.co/wDXbOcaj9V
@oldskoolbballx He went to elementary, middle school and High school in Brooklyn.
Lol. He’s from Brooklyn, just want born there.
Just like nobody considers Michael Jordan to be from Brooklyn.
@AaronGogley@theistinthought I don’t know is walking with a bag of groceries or ne block that inconvenient? Do people who don’t live in New York not walk more than a Block ever?
