Overnight, Nigeria and the United States recorded a significant example of effective collaboration in the fight against terrorism.
Our determined Nigerian Armed Forces, working closely with the Armed Forces of the United States, conducted a daring joint operation that dealt a heavy blow to the ranks of the Islamic State.
Early assessments confirm the elimination of the wanted IS senior leader, Abu-Bilal Al-Manuki, also known as Abu-Mainok, along with several of his lieutenants, during a strike on his compound in the Lake Chad Basin
Nigeria appreciates this partnership with the United States in advancing our shared security objectives. I extend my sincere gratitude to President Trump for his leadership and unwavering support in this effort.
I commend the personnel involved on both sides for their professionalism and courage, and I look forward to more decisive strikes against all terrorist enclaves across the nation.

A lot of money is at stake here! The East African refinery will cost, the president says, 16 to 20 billion dollars. Alico is really shaping the energy model of the continent.

We condemn the attacks by Polisario Front in Smara.
Such violence threatens regional stability and the progress made towards peace.
These actions are inconsistent with the spirit of the recent talks.
The time to end this 50-year-old dispute is now.
As affirmed in UNSCR 2797, the Moroccan Autonomy Proposal lays out the path to peace in Western Sahara. We call on all those resisting peace to genuinely commit to a brighter future.
The status quo cannot continue.
Today, I had the pleasure of receiving Their Excellencies Mr. Hamid Chabar, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, and Mr. Emmanuel Besnier, Ambassador of the French Republic.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the bilateral cooperation relations linking our country with both the Kingdom of Morocco and the French Republic, as well as ways to strengthen and further develop them in the various fields of mutual interest.
During the meeting, I also received from Their Excellencies an official invitation for our country to participate in an international conference on peace, to be organized jointly by Morocco and France.
This introduction should be understood by the government of Mali, Algeria, Mauritania, France, and Morocco, all involved in the revolutionary issues in Mali and Sahara. The schism is getting larger, and needs better understanding of legitimacy to be analysed.

The U.S. Deputy Secretary of State will visit Algeria on April 27 to strengthen bilateral relations between the 2 countries, as part of a mission dispatched by President Donald Trump.
Uganda 🇺🇬 and Kenya 🇰🇪 are in discussions with Aliko Dangote to build a major oil refinery in Tanzania 🇹🇿.
The project is planned for Tanga and aims to reduce East Africa’s reliance on fuel imports from the Middle East.
It would process crude from regional producers, including Uganda, and supply countries across the East African Community.
Talks are active, with Presidents Ruto and Museveni involved.
Algeria has pledged to construct a fully funded medical polyclinic in Namibia, a development confirmed today during a meeting between President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and Ambassador H.E. Abdelkrim Diaf at State House.
During the engagement, held in the presence of the Minister of Health and Social Services, Hon. Esperance Luvindao, Ambassador Diaf presented a framed plan of the proposed facility, formally conveying the Government of Algeria’s decision to support Namibia’s health sector through the establishment of the polyclinic. The gesture stands as a testament to the longstanding relations between Namibia and Algeria, which trace back to a shared history of solidarity.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah welcomed the initiative as a tangible outcome of the enduring bilateral relations between the two countries, noting that ties continue to grow from strength to strength, anchored in mutual respect and cooperation. She reflected on engagements dating back to the 2008 Joint Commission, where health cooperation featured prominently, adding that the planned facility represents meaningful progress arising from those discussions.
The President further acknowledged Algeria’s continued support in the field of education, highlighting that more than 100 Namibians have benefited from study opportunities in Algeria, including recent placements earlier this year. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation, with health and human capital development remaining central pillars of the Namibia–Algeria partnership.

I reiterated Pakistan’s firm commitment to advancing its efforts to encourage both the U.S. and Iran towards an agreement aimed at lasting peace and stability in the region.
Grateful to His Royal Highness, for his support of Pakistan's sincere peace efforts.
During my warm and constructive discussions with His Royal Highness, I also expressed sincere appreciation for the Kingdom’s consistent support for Pakistan’s economic stability, while highlighting the unique defence and security relationship between our two countries. We reaffirmed our commitment to further strengthening our enduring partnership.
We can achieve great things when we work together.
The Artemis II recovery team includes specialists from the U.S. military alongside engineers and technicians from NASA and Lockheed Martin.
The Sun is by far the biggest source of energy in our solar system
Even here on Earth, the Sun accounts for roughly 100% of all the energy we use - fossil fuels are just ancient sunlight stored in plants, while wind, hydro, biomass, and solar power are all driven by the Sun right now
Beyond Earth, the vast majority of spacecraft, satellites, and future Mars bases run entirely on solar energy
The Sun puts out 3.8 × 10²⁶ watts - more energy in a single second than all of humanity has ever used in its entire history
And just to put it in perspective: the Sun makes up 99.8% of the total mass of our entire solar system. Jupiter is only 0.1%. Everything else (Earth, Mars, asteroids, etc.) is basically miscellaneous
We’re finally learning how to use the only energy source that actually matters ☀️
From the Lecture Halls of Legon to the Moon: Celebrating Christina Koch
I join the University of Ghana and the entire nation in celebrating NASA Astronaut Christina Koch on her historic membership of the Artemis II mission.
It is a point of immense pride to learn that Christina, the only woman on this pioneering lunar mission, was once an exchange student at our very own University of Ghana during the 1999/2000 academic year.
Her time at Legon was not just a passing visit; she truly immersed herself in our culture and heritage. By studying the History of Ghana, the History of Africa, Rural Sociology, Music, and even Twi for Beginners, she built a foundation of global citizenship right here in Accra.
Her gesture of hoisting the Ghanaian flag in outer space was a deeply touching moment for every Ghanaian. It is a testament to the fact that no matter how far one travels, even into the vastness of space, the friendships made and the lessons learned stay with you.
Christina’s journey from the classrooms of the University of Ghana to the frontiers of space exploration serves as a powerful inspiration to every young Ghanaian. It reminds us that our educational institutions continue to produce and shape global leaders who break barriers and reach for the stars.
On behalf of a proud nation, I wish Christina Koch and the entire Artemis II crew godspeed on your return journey to earth. May your success continue to inspire generations across Ghana, Africa, and the world to believe that there's no height that is insurmountable.
Congratulations, Christina.
Ghana is proud of you!
With the greatest humility, I am pleased to announce that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, along with their allies, have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere including Lebanon and elsewhere, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
I warmly welcome the sagacious gesture and extend deepest gratitude to the leadership of both the countries and invite their delegations to Islamabad on Friday, 10th April 2026, to further negotiate for a conclusive agreement to settle all disputes.
Both parties have displayed remarkable wisdom and understanding and have remained constructively engaged in furthering the cause of peace and stability. We earnestly hope, that the ‘Islamabad Talks’ succeed in achieving sustainable peace and wish to share more good news in coming days!
