In December 2024, Premier David Crisafulli enacted a gag order in Queensland Parliament. Every pro-life motion, every amendment, every piece of legislation is ruled out of order before MPs can even debate it. Last week, we learned about Baby Samuel. He was born alive at 16 weeks. He was left to die. MPs who want to take action to protect babies like Samuel? Gagged. We're asking Queenslanders to raise their voices. Use the link below to send a direct email to key MPs. Tell them to axe the gag order. Tell them Baby Samuel's death demands a response. Tell them Parliament must be free to act.
A State Funeral Service for the Honourable Ron Boswell took place today at 10.00 am on Friday 16 January 2026 in the Cathedral of St Stephen, 249 Elizabeth Street, Brisbane, Queensland.
From 1999 to 2003 under the Howard government Mr Boswell held the appointment of Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Transport and Regional Services.
From 1990 to 2007 Mr Boswell was the Leader of the Nationals (formally National Party) in the Senate.
Mr Boswell retired from politics in 2014.
In 2020, Mr Boswell was made an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to the Parliament of Australia, to the people of Queensland, and to fisheries research and development.
Throughout his time in Parliament - Ron Boswell was staunch defender of the unborn.
Every human being was once unseen.
Before a name. Before a face. Before the world could recognise their worth.
At Cherish Life, we stand for those whose lives are still hidden, still vulnerable, and still immeasurably valuable.
Because unseen doesn’t mean unimportant.
And small doesn’t mean disposable.
Townsville Miracle Baby Home After Being Born At 22 Weeks 💜
Against all odds, baby George survived after being born at 22 weeks. His life is a testament to the strength of the smallest among us.

Women don’t struggle for abortions at all. You know this. The Mater have every right to act in line with their ethos. You are discriminating against Christians being able to act in line with their conscience. It
is not about access, it is about conquest.
At just 22 weeks and 3 days, Tenayah Gimbert entered the world weighing only 409 grams, smaller than her mother’s hand. Most babies born this early don’t survive.
But thanks to the extraordinary care of Brisbane’s Mater Mothers’ Hospital, Tenayah defied the odds. After 128 days in NICU, she had avoided surgery, faced no major complications, and grown into a thriving three-kilogram baby.
At 22 weeks, we’re not talking about “cells” or “tissue”, we’re looking at a child. A baby at this stage has:
•A beating heart and active brain
•Eyelashes, fingerprints, tiny arms and legs
•The ability to respond to sound and touch
Parents watching ultrasounds often recognise their baby’s humanity instantly- a thumb-suck, a hiccup, a stretch of a hand.
Tenayah was the same person in the womb as she was in the NICU. Birth didn’t create her humanity, it only revealed it.
Mater Hospital is criticised for refusing to perform abortions. Yet it is one of the few hospitals in Queensland capable of saving babies born on the edge of viability.
The irony is stark: while the hospital is condemned for refusing to end lives, it is celebrated for saving them.
Meanwhile, under Queensland law, abortion is legal on request up to 22 weeks and even after, right up until birth, with doctor approval. That means while Tenayah was fighting for life at 22 weeks in one ward, another baby the same age could legally be aborted in another.
Survival rates for premature babies are climbing:
•23 weeks: 5 in 10 survive
•24 weeks: 7 in 10 survive
Every number is not just a statistic, it’s a child.
Tenayah’s story is more than a miracle; it’s a wake-up call. She proves the humanity of the unborn and reminds us that every baby deserves a chance at life.
Her life is a living argument: fragile, precious, worth protecting.

BRISBANE MARCH FOR LIFE 2025 – HIGHLIGHTS REEL
What an incredible day in Brisbane as many came together to stand for life!
From the powerful speeches to the peaceful march through the city streets, the March for Life 2025 was a bold and beautiful witness for the unborn.
A heartfelt thank you to every single person who took part — whether you marched, spoke, volunteered, donated, or simply stood.
You are the movement, and your voice matters.
My parents and I attended the ‘March for life’ rally today in Brisbane hosted by @CherishLifeQLD .
It really is a critical topic for our generation. Thousands of viable babies are killed every year, and hardly anyone bats an eyelid.
A few hundred had a flu in 2020, and the whole country was restricted. How does that make sense?
Why is one life worth more than another?
It’s not! And one day, humanity will realise what we’ve done…and we will have to atone for our sins.
The only exclusively pro-life party running in the federal election is @FamilyAu . They have a slim chance of gaining seats but out of principle I will be voting no.1 for them…because they will fight for the unborn.
Just got back from the Pro-Life Rally in Brisbane—what a crowd! Big cheers to Matt Cliff and the team at Cherish Life for running a powerful event. I learned a lot, and it’s heartbreaking what’s happening in Australia.
These little children have truly come last. There’s a serious lack of political will to reduce abortion numbers. We should be offering real choice—more help, more counselling, better support for women and families.
Think tax breaks for young families, extended maternity leave, or even more funding for orphanages. I reckon most Aussies would back that.
Shoutout to DJ Payne, Family First, and all the amazing people standing for life and Aussie families. @djpaine@FamilyAu@CherishLifeQLD

Reasons to PUT LABOR LAST this election
Listed the Abortion Pill RU-486 on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
In 2013, the Labor government under Tanya Plibersek approved the listing of the abortion drug RU-486 (mifepristone) on the PBS, making medical/chemical abortions cheaper and more widely available.
Support for Abortions Through Medicare
The federal Labor government has overseen a threefold increase in Medicare-subsidised medical terminations.
Labors Longstanding Support for Abortion
Labor figures, including Prime minister Anthony Albanese, have historically defended legal abortion. This long-standing commitment to abortion has ended the life of countless Australian unborn children.
