Restrictive cardiomyopathy 🆚 constrictive pericarditis in the 4Ch view

Two diseases with overlapping physiology and similar clinical presentation - but very different therapies.

The first patient underwent heart transplantation; the second, pericardectomy.

Vmax 3.4 m/s、mean PG 23 mmHg。

Vmax

・acceleration time

acceleration timeも短い。

🔢 PAAT/RVET

📌 What is PAAT/RVET?

PAAT/RVET = Pulmonary Artery Acceleration Time / Right Ventricular Ejection Time.

It is a simple Doppler-derived index that can provide useful information about RV afterload and pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR).
