Toby Keith Covel was born in Clinton, Oklahoma, on this day in 1961.

He went on to become one of country music's greatest stars, bringing us unforgettable hits such as "Should've Been a Cowboy," "American Soldier," "Courtesty of the Red, White and Blue," and "How Do You Like Me Now?!"

Toby was known for his skillful songwriting, philanthropy, patriotism, and devotion to his family.

He passed away in 2024 after a years-long battle with stomach cancer. He would have turned 65 today. 💔
