$NBIS was up 230% in the first half of the year. Nvidia invested $2 billion. Meta signed a $27 billion contract. Then it dropped over 100 points from the June highs.
Mike Butler @TraderMikeyB says the call skew is still screaming upside, and the options market agrees the velocity of risk is higher, not lower, from here.
VIX spikes to 45 and everyone panics. VIX drops to 10 and everyone gets comfortable.
Dr. Jim Schultz @jschultzf3 says both are wrong. Volatility always comes home to its long-run average. That one idea is the foundation of every premium selling strategy.
From fintech giant Stripe to six-year-old startup Justt, which helps companies recover revenue lost to illegitimate chargebacks, seven payment companies made our eleventh annual #Fintech50 list. https://t.co/cKSt47eSS1 📸: Nala

The story of violence in Chicago is not solely about murders and shootings. They go up, things are getting worse. They go down, things are getting better. That represents only the simplistic reporting of a dishonest and detached Chicago political ruling class and their press corps.
What this young woman endured is the rest of the story and she should be thanked for telling it.
Hers is a story of Chicagoans who were already on guard and are now traumatized after being victimized. Do you think she will ever again not live in fear in Chicago?
Assaults like the one described happen thousands of times every year in Chicago. But we're told it's just "big city livin'" and the pols are "working on it" so any suggestion of endemic violent crime is a "manufactured crisis."
Are they? Is it?
The dystopian irony is that Chicagoland has gotten less serious about public safety as the barbarism has endured. From Rahm-Lightfoot-BJ and from Rauner-JB represent a deepening descent into madness.
So for those who have been content to spend the last decade basing their political choices on blind hatred of Trump and willful blindness to state and local policy choices, what, if anything, would you like to tell this young woman?
ARRESTS ARE BEING MADE:
11 violent rioters were arrested last night in Chicago outside the ICE detention facility:
These are two guns that were taken off rioters in Chicago right against the fence at our ICE detention facility.
An investigation is underway into what appears to be some sort of explosive device found last night near the ICE Chicago detention facility.

Trump singled out Chicago on Friday, calling it a "mess" and saying residents there are "screaming for us to come," adding "African American ladies, beautiful ladies, are saying, 'Please, President Trump, come to Chicago, please.'" https://t.co/5FZzWlgU9l
@RaymondALopez@ChinaLove30@aldermanscott24 Who is the current alderman in Streeterville? I’ve been attempting to contact for support for 3 years following a violent attack by homeless.
Perhaps we need hearings to determine how many aldermen are:
•participating in a globalized intifada
• associate with terror-supported organizations
•providing material support to antifa or antifa-inspired copycat organizations or paid protestors
•violating their oath of office
As I sit on a late running jam packed Red Line train that will make me late for a meeting (again) a reminder to @GovPritzker@senvillivalam and @DonHarmonIL that what caused @CTA recovery to lag other cities isn’t a lack of $$$…it is lack of leadership that cares about service.
Congratulations to every single person on the left who’s been campaigning to destroy women’s and girls’ rights. Without you, there’d be no images like this.
