Thank you Queens Hospital Mortuary team, David, Kelly and Gemma for the informative session for our Retrievers on Friday. Lots of shared learning has been brought back to the Colindale Retrieval team #nhsheroes#partnershipworking@BHRUT_NHS@ChiefAPT@NHSBT
It's hard to believe that as a profession working with people who are at their most vulnerable and being entrusted to care for the deceased that we are not statutory registered in line with other healthcare professions.
Wax anatomical female figure 1818 by Francesco Calenzuoli (I.e.Anatomical Venus- see more on my blog) on display @sciencemuseum. Her calm beautiful exterior clashes with the ‘gore’ of her exposed body cavity. An attempt to dilute the horrors of death. #wellcometrustgallery
It's Christmas jumper day at our hospitals for @SupportHospital! 🎅
Our Executive team would like to thank all of our wonderful staff for their hard work in 2019!
And an extra big thank you to those of you who are going to be working over Christmas and the New Year 🌟
What a heartwarming story. I can picture this human shield ensuring no eye contact or communication occurred whilst simultaneously working in unison. Only a true Londoner could manage this.
I’m having a weird day so I’m going to tell you this tiny moment when Londoners came through for me. It was the day my husband found his father dead in his house in north London. I was in Bow. I got on the packed tube, tears dripping silently off my cheeks. I stood by the door.
What name do you like most for our family room? It will be decorated shortly in keeping with the Trust end of life symbol "The Gerbera". Or tweet your own suggestions?
@drbenswift Thanks Ben. I have to admit you are not the first person to suggest a link with Gerbil. I guess I have to take it seriously as valid feedback seeing as more than one person has offered this concern.
@MagdaBHR Thank you Magda. At BHR Mortuaries,”Care after death” is our raison d’être. As well as individual & personal care of the deceased person, our procedures, risk assessments & audits form part of our quality management system that help us maintain HTA Licensing standards.
So today is my 15 year anniversary working in the #mortuary for @BHR_hospitals 19 years in total for the trust 🤭 couldn’t think of a better place to work ❤️ #ilovemyjob#pride
