@Tesla0bserver@teslayoda I don't want to lease, I want to own.
A lease is more expensive per month than my fuel and maintenance costs. Insurance on an EV is 2x more than for ICE. Registration fees are 3x.
@CorderoConnor@MatGagnonTech@LamarMK Are Tesla cameras really that bad? I was driving a Corolla for a few months when I lived in Florida, never washed it, and never had any issue whatsoever with the cameras. They were always crystal clear.
@BlazedPheonix@jaeddy64@omgsidewalks I didn't answer the question initially because it is a trap question, which you also refused to answer when I posed it back to you.
You didn't observe me, you went with an attack, claiming I am a sheep to politicians and influencers.
@BlazedPheonix@jaeddy64@omgsidewalks The difference between you and I is that my responses don't devolve into insults when I run out of talking points.
@japan_nobunaga In Japan around 150 years ago, almost no civilian owned a sword. Not because they were afraid of swords, but the Emperor and Shogunate decided that it was easier to oppress an unarmed population.
@BlazedPheonix@jaeddy64@omgsidewalks I didn't know that I was conversing with a yet undiscovered, sentient, form of government.
Or are you an alien? Did you come from Mars to eat up bars, cars, and guitars?
@EthanPh@JuggerKnaught76 You better watch yourself. It's a very slippery slope from what you said to acknowledging that not everyone has the exact same needs in a vehicle. That will ruin your Tesla Fanboy cred.
@BlazedPheonix@jaeddy64@omgsidewalks Communism and socialism fail because of the inherent nature of humankind. Those two forms of governance are awful specifically due to who they are trying to govern.
The problems with capitalism in reality are the socialist aspects of it when the gov't props up corporations.
@Tesla0bserver@teslayoda I personally dislike the aesthetic of the Model 3 and Y, the ones I could afford.
But price apparently is an invalid reason to you...
@teslayoda Possibly in a year.
Considered, but no. While they are technically the best EV due to range, performance, and FSD capabilities, I dislike their appearance as well as their build quality and materials.
I like driving, and would rather put the $99/mo toward a higher model.
@EthanPh@JuggerKnaught76 How many miles do you drive? I drive a full size pickup and get that. If I had something like a Corolla with at least double the fuel efficiency I'd be spending half that, I'd have cheaper insurance, and my registration costs would be less.
@EthanPh@JuggerKnaught76 Just shy of 240k. I go on a lot of road trips. But supercharging for a road trip costs about the same as gasoline, especially if you factor in the increased number of stops.
I'm sorry that I am the exception to your narrative.
