It’s not exactly the same but in Baldur’s Gate 2 you can actually have a child with one of the romance options.
It’s not just a dialogue option either it’s part of the games romance storyline and results in the main character and Aerie wandering around with their baby as a kind of adventuring family with the other party members becoming various aunts and uncles with various levels of interest depending on their personality.
It’s the earliest example I can think of where you could become a parent in a game.

I think people get confused between deities and the cults that worshipped them.
The early church probably due to the Roman Influence was very good at synchronicity when it came to locally popular cults and wasn’t above borrowing every trick in the book from the cults to spread the gospel.
It’s one of those things you to separate religion from God on and ask yourself why none of those older pagan religions managed to survive if Christianity is all bunk.
I don’t see woke as much as quick time event/cut scene.
This is why I won’t play the game just like
I haven’t played any other God of War game.
I want as much control as I can get over a game. I don’t just want to press the occasional button while the game plays itself.
Either give me full control and let me figure it out or just make a movie. That’s what it feels like these games want to be anyway.
I can’t be the only one thinking this but the current #GodOfWarLauffey stuff got me thinking.
So Laufey and Cere from Jedi fallen order. Played by Deborah Ann Woll and Debra Wilson respectively. And is it just me or are their facial proportions just … off? It’s more noticeable on Debra Wilson probably because the software used to map her face is older but lighting doesn’t change the shape of someone’s entire head nor make them strangely goggle eyed. And it definitely doesn’t push their jaw back to give them more of an overbite and extend their philtrum. Again you could argue angles and lighting but I angles and lighting just don’t do that they’ve definitely altered the size and shape of facial features.
It’s not as pronounced on Laufey but it’s still noticeable that her eyes have been increased in size and her head narrowed while her mouth position has been moved on her face. It might the angle but I’m fairly sure they’ve altered the size and shape of her nose as well.
I wonder why video game studios do this? There’s nothing wrong with either actress they’re both fairly easy on the eyes, so why remix their features when you’ve gone out of your way to cast them and model the character on them?
Just comes off as a distracting and bizarre design choice.
@Knights_Path@aaronogre What if you have a pathological uncontrollable hatred of bards?
And I don’t mean dislike i mean a real hatred so powerful it can’t be contained! A seeking permission from the pope to launch an anti bard crusade type hatred?
Aw no, that’s a shame.
I love John Blanches work.
Remember to raise a glass to the passing a very talented man and a life well lived.

@BenchUkg@LeeHarris Didn’t watch the body cam footage did you? Didn’t hear about Digwah’s family shouting racist at the judge as he handed down the sentence?
But of course we should agree with you and others who spout the party line, why should we believe our lying eyes and ears?
@DreizehnKatzen@UpdatingOnRome I don’t want to produce grain. I want to stab Dacians and pillage Sarmizegetusa.
Also how were medieval peasants growing grain for Roman legions? Can the grain time travel? Can the peasants?!
Sounds like witchcraft to me.
Bear burn em to make sure.
@PicturesOfData@DreaminSha43286@UpdatingOnRome People can stave in any society you melt.
People like you would starve because you’d have no idea how to grow, kill, clean and cook your own food.
Hell you chinless wonders would starve without doordash.
@DreaminSha43286@PicturesOfData@UpdatingOnRome I wish more people understood this.
The idea of reeking peasants wallowing in mud and shit is really tired. People made their lives a pleasant as they could.
And people forget people in the past were just as smart as we were. They could figure stuff out.
No they’re right it’s a peasant with a freehold of a plot of land and access to common land as well as being paid a wage to work the land of say a lord.
Post Black Death peasants were in high demand since they were the ones with the knowledge and skills to work the land. So bigger landowners would try and make working for them more attractive and the easiest way to do that was through offering land ownership which could be passed on through family’s rather than having the peasants be tenants on the land.
What I think you might be getting mixed up with is serfdom where the peasant doesn’t own anything and is legally bound to work for a landowner in exchange for physical protection and the right to work a plot of land for his own subsistence but which is still owned by the lord and they could be turfed off from at any time.
Ironically in a practical sense, depending on which medieval kingdom you were in, you’d actually have more protections as a medieval peasant or even a serf, and more time off work, than you would in a lot of modern western countries.
Course you’d also have more opportunities to starve to death or shit yourself inside our from dysentery.
