Meskel day for the people of Tigray wasn't a happy day. As if the blockade is not enough, Eritrean forces fired dozens of artilleries at Adigrat & Irob, & conducted air strikes in Shire and Adi Dairo killing civlians & destroying civilian infrastructure. Footage from Adi Dairo.1
Reports from Ethiopia suggest that once again, the government has frozen bank accounts opened in Tigray, a move some would describe as collective punishment, despite claims that its fight is with the TPLF, not the people of Tigray.
@selam4Tigray@batseba_Tigray So the Ethiopian government was completely passive in this? Was inviting a foreign army necessary? What do you make of Ethiopia's claim to go to war with Eritrea?
In accusing the TPLF of having “launched a large-scale offensive” yesterday, Massinga may have information that we are missing. The TPLF, for its part, says the opposite. But Massinga’s bias is so blatant that his accusation should be treated with caution.
The Ethiopian war in Trigray between 2020-2022 is one of the reasons why I woke up to the utter futility modern pan-africanism had become. 600,000 people were killed but pan-africans were running hashtags against foreign intervention and in support of Ethiopia Defense Forces.
The last civil war in Tigray was honestly the worst conflict I've ever seen. The sheer brutality waged on both civilians and combatants was so scarring, I can't understand how quick anyone can be so quick to return to that.
Ethiopia says these drones exist “not to fuel conflict, but to prevent it.” This morning at 2am, they killed a two-year-old child in Hintalo, #Tigray, along with two other civilians. Four more were wounded. In August they wounded 13 in Mekelle, five of them children.
Only the Ethiopian federal army has military drones in Ethiopia. There is no question on who is responsible only whether anyone will act.
We must investigate every strike and hold Ethiopia accountable.
@wolde_mari2886@tsion_axum You should be happy that so many Tigrayans want to separate from the rest of Ethiopia! You won't ever have to share a nationality with us. It's a win-win.
@wolde_mari2886@tsion_axum Queen Sheba is a myth along with your silly little king menelik the descendant. hahahaha! Of course, we had our own myths as it was pagan before it was Christan. We had the god Almaqah, dum dum. But, then again, there seems to be no sign of intelligent life in you.
