Hi @NikitaBier. I know you get a lot of mentions, and I know you’re busy. But please read this one, because this is a real-world safety issue and you’re one of the few people who understands how platform dynamics actually work.
The post pictured here publishes names, faces, and personal information of 69+ Israelis while offering a $100,000 bounty per person, falsely labeling them as Shayetet 13 commandos connected to the flotilla incident. I'm not linking the post because I don't want to spread it.
The photos appear to be scraped from random Israeli LinkedIn and social media profiles. Many are very obviously civilians, including women with zero connection to any military unit.
The algorithm is currently rewarding it.
People celebrating it are engaging.
People horrified by it are engaging.
People trying to report it are quote-tweeting it nonstop.
The result:
A bounty-style doxxing campaign stays amplified for 24+ hours while innocent people’s faces circulate across the platform.
Community Notes cannot solve a live targeting event involving civilian identities and cash rewards.
Suggested solution:
Posts containing identifiable civilian information alongside bounties, “wanted” framing, or implied calls for violence should trigger immediate visibility suppression and emergency human review before engagement-based amplification kicks in.
Free speech does not include turning random civilians into targets for harassment or violence.
This is a serious platform safety failure, and someone is eventually going to get hurt because of it.
Thank you.
As a Habs fan, this is beyond outrageous. Without deportations, these pager-needing morons will be emboldened to do much worse. @sureteduquebec send these losers back to wherever they came from.

Dear Madam,
I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant-General of Massachusetts, that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle. I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours, to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of Freedom.
Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,
Abraham Lincoln
I'm out.
The best I can do is not talk about this race publicly.
Because Platner has not said or done anything to explain how or why he has changed.
He just says he has, and we're supposed to take him at his word.
That he's not the same person who has demonstrated a pattern of disturbing behavior over several years of his adult life.
This op-ed doesn't mention the name "Biden" even once. Opinions that are so nakedly partisan and so lacking in self-awareness are simply not persuasive. It almost feels like a prank.
Since my earlier thoughts are now useless (just a few minutes quicker than usual), here's a few thoughts on the #Isles firing Patrick Roy and hiring Peter DeBoer:
-- As one longtime #Isles fan just said in a chat: This franchise has never been proactive in my lifetime. I'll amend that to one time: When Lou pounced to hire Barry Trotz before the ink was dry on Barry's WSH divorce. It made all the difference.
-- Darche and ownership getting aggressive here makes sense to me: Jump what could be a long line for DeBoer at season's end, maybe give the #Isles a jolt into this postseason and move on from a coach GMMD was likely not sold on for the future of this team regardless of whether there were playoffs this season.
-- Could be 5-6 teams looking for coaches once the season ends (TOR, LA, NSH, CBJ, WPG, VGK) and DeBoer/Cassidy/Laviolette would be in demand. As long as ownership was willing to eat $ on Roy and pay up for DeBoer, you gotta act fast.
-- DeBoer's first year behind the bench: Took NJ to the Final in 11-12; took SJ to the Final in 15-16; took VGK to WCF in 19-20; took DAL to WCF in 22-23.
-- Bringing DeBoer in and not searching for a less experienced coach to grow with the younger #Isles tells me ownership wants to win soon. That tells me they're ready to be aggressive this offseason in remaking the roster.
-- Buckle up.
@IslesDen@IslesHouse On the podcast please tell us who this new guy is. What's his background, his style, his accomplishments, his strategic pluses and minuses, and so forth.
@Bill231b@stefen_rosner Right, but has anyone written anything about his background and his accomplishments? Should we be excited about this? Who is this guy?
Very cool: Mets fans will be able to listen to games essentially live with @MetsBooth at Citi Field this season, which seems pretty…Raad to me
@HowieRose@KeithRaad
While we have your attention, I’d like to point out that while we are here preparing for a stupid basketball game, our friends and family in Israel are going back and forth to bomb shelters multiple times a day as Iran and Hezbollah fire rockets indiscriminately at civilian populations.
Take a minute out of your day and pray for their safety and victory.
Thank you.
I’m not just angry. I’m furious with you Elizabeth Warren.
Stop using the suffering of my people as political ammunition against Donald Trump.
You say you are grieving for those killed in this “unnecessary war.”
Really? I checked your social media. More than 20 posts attacking President Trump after he removed a monster terrorist of Iran, Ali Khamenei, but not one post grieving the massacre of more than 32,000 unarmed Iranian people. Why? Shocking.
More than 10,000 protesters were intentionally blinded by security forces. Young women were shot in the eyes. Students were beaten to death. Families were burying their children. Where were you then?
We are not a tool. The pain of us Iranians is not a talking point for your partisan battles.
As a woman, your silence while women in Iran were being shot, jailed, and blinded is more than disappointing. It is insulting. No it is beyond that. It is a slap in the face of Iranian mothers burying their children who have been killed by Islamic Republic.
I cannot ignore this hypocrisy.
Our suffering did not fit your narrative. Our voices were inconvenient. Now that the situation serves your political agenda, you speak loudly.
Very heartbreaking to see, powerful women in the West totally ignoring Iranians being slaughtered. 💔
Was he a dictator? Yes.
Did he murder his own citizens who just wanted freedom? Also yes.
But you gotta hand it to him.
This man absolutely hated Jews. 🫡
This should be a bigger story.
ICE detained a father when he stepped outside his apartment to pick up dinner. His 6-year-old daughter was left alone. Neighbors later found her outside, crying in the street, asking for her father.
If any local law enforcement agency conducted an operation and left a child without supervision, there would be investigations, accountability, and consequences. That is what the public would rightly demand.
So where is the accountability here?
No matter your views on immigration policy, a 6-year-old child should never be left alone and vulnerable because of a federal enforcement action.
Basic standards of care and common sense still matter.
