Dear FM Madam @nsitharaman ji,

You have definitely reduced income taxes. True. But most people invest from their salaries after paying income tax.

They pay STT on their Equity buy & sell (irrespective of P or L).

We had Zero LTCG at one point in time which rewarded patient capital. It rewarded anyone who held great businesses for over 1 year.

And then, suddenly 10% LTCG was introduced. Recently, it was raised to 12.5%. I hope you understand that this is not a fixed income instrument.

I kindly request you to acknowledge this in your interviews. LTCG was ZERO and now it is 12.5%. Risk is taken by Investors. Patience is shown by Investors. Profit & Loss is also borne by Investors.

It is time to reward Patient Capital by Abolishing LTCG on Capital Markets which will benefit India in the long run.

Time to wake up & smell the Coffee !!!

Never seen markets reach 52 week lows on strong GDP growth , bank credit at 19% , PMI in expansion for burg goods and services and good earnings ..

Markets are giving a loud message - need stable policies and lower taxes.. avoid micro regulation of every sector..
