The Kuki Community strongly condemns the circulation of hate messages openly calling for the burning of Kuki villages in Kangpokpi, Noney, Kamjong and Tamenglong districts, followed by videos allegedly showing armed cadres celebrating after villages were set ablaze. Such messages and actions reflect a dangerous pattern in which hate speech is transformed into violence on the ground.
The repeated targeting of Kuki ancestral villages, threats against civilians, destruction of homes, and glorification of violence cannot be justified under any circumstance. The open invocation of armed groups and calls to demonstrate their power over civilian populations raises serious concerns regarding law and order, public safety, and the protection of vulnerable communities.
The Kuki Community further raises concern over the continued presence of NSCN-IM, ZUF Kamson Group, and Shan National Army junta militants allegedly entering Indian territory through Tangkhul-dominant areas. Despite persistent allegations and repeated incidents, questions continue to be raised regarding the absence of effective action in these areas, while Kuki villages remain exposed to attacks and displacement.
The Kuki Community urges the Government of India, security agencies, and concerned authorities to ensure accountability, prevent further violence, protect innocent civilians, and uphold the rule of law without bias or discrimination.

Today, an incident occurred in Joujantek Village when Kuki civilians were going to work in the fields. NSCN-IM, ZUF Kamson Group, and Shan National Army/Junta military allegedly ambushed the civilians. One Kuki civilian was injured after being shot during the attack. It is alleged that NSCN-IM, ZUF Kamson Group, and Shan National Army/Junta elements are entering the India border through the protection of Tangkhul CSOs, Tangkhul pastors, Tangkhul women, and Meitei Meira Paibis in Ukhrul District and Kamjong District.
While Cobra Team and Central Forces are busy targeting the peace-loving Kuki community, and even killing civilians and claiming them as militants, NSCN-IM, ZUF Kamson Group, and Shan National Army/Junta military have had the opportunity to burn our ancestral villages and ambush Kuki civilians.
Shan National Army/Junta military are able to enter through these routes because, according to our concerns, the higher authorities and Cobra Team Central Forces have completely ignored the situation. In Naga-inhabited areas of Ukhrul District and Kamjong District, Central Forces are reportedly restricted, while NSCN-IM, NSCN Eastern Flank, and Shan National Army/Junta military continue entering through Tangkhul-dominated areas.
We appeal to Cobra Team and Central Forces to take full action against NSCN-IM, ZUF Kamson Group, and Shan National Army/Junta military for ambushing Kuki civilians.

It has been generally presumed that the Tangkhul faction of the NSCN-IM and its mouthpiece, KHANUITHOT-KHON, confine their influence to various civil society organization platforms and certain elected MLAs. This presumption was incorrect and completely wrong.
Regrettably, the situation has deteriorated further following Khanuithot-Khon’s disclosure alleging that certain churches have sponsored an illegal terrorist training center purportedly established to train individuals to kill innocent, unarmed civilians. The Mao Baptist Churches Association is among those alleged to be involved in this Tangkhul NSCN-IM bloodthirsty campaign against all mankind, rather than the divine love for all that is mentioned in Holy Scripture. This disclosure came in the aftermath of the killing of three unarmed Kuki-Zo clergymen: Rev. Dr. Vumthang Sitlhou, Rev. Kaigoulun Lhouvum, and Pastor Paogoulun Sitlhou, who were mercilessly ambushed and murdered in cold blood.
In times of discontent, when diplomatic channels have been exhausted and mutual trust among political actors has eroded, Church Organizations remain the final recourse. Under the present circumstances, Church Councils have consequently become a significant factor.
