The tunable and reversible nature of supramolecular hydrogels makes them excellent candidates for biomedical purposes. My project aims to develop supramolecular hydrogels for both 2D and 3D cell culture.

Ions in cell culture media produce a metal coordinated network when added to a solution of our gelator. PODS® from @CellGuidance can then be incorporated to allow a sustained release of growth factors.
