@CMOTamilnadu @TVKVijayHQ @cmrlofficial can the TN Govt ensure proper pedestrian pathways and organised 2-wheeler/car parking at Metro stations? Today, interior roads are encroached by shops and parked vehicles, making even walking difficult.

Every resident should be able to safely walk within a 2-km radius to a Metro station. Kattupakkam, Kumanan Chavadi and Mangadu are in a terrible state, with pedestrians struggling to use interior roads.

Walkability is the foundation of public transport. Clear encroachments, create proper footpaths and parking facilities, and make Metro accessible to every resident. This is how we move towards a developed nation.

One of Lulu mall or IKEA should come up near Poonamalle bypass now that metro connectivity is there. West Chennai is starving for a good mall/shopping experience.

Even North is getting Mall of Madras, while West has been left out. #luluchennai #chennai

Unlike phase I wherein trains are operated from 5 am till midnight, in phase II train services will be operated only from 7 am to 9 pm. Sources said, this is because construction of the balance stations between Porur and Vadapalani have to be finished at night.
