#RecruitmentSeason is on. At ICS Addis, we are looking for quirky, risk-taking, inspiring educators who are peering into the future, finding new ways to prepare students for jobs that don't yet exist. We're hiring fortune tellers. If that's you, apply at https://t.co/kfqWD33N8Q
The TAT is organising the ‘Expat Travel Deal 2020’ to offer domestic tourism promotions for expatriate residents to encourage them to travel more domestically. The event will take place from 11 to 13 September, from 10:00am to 10:00pm at EmQuartier shopping mall in Bangkok.
I'm out of quarantine! I hand out plenty of criticism of Thai bureaucracy but I have to say that throughout this process, all the staff I've dealt with have been excellent. From the Thai embassy in NZ, Thai Airways crew, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration...
IMPORTANT: Ministry of Foreign Affairs has just sent out this letter to all Foreign Chambers of Commerce. It details the procedure for non-Thai nationals to re-enter the country. But they must have a valid work permit or have permission by a government agency to work #Thailand
We had graduation in person yesterday. It was a little different, but that's ok. I'm so happy for these kids. It's nice for them to get a win. Congratulations class of 2020. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen. #ClassOf2020#classof2020strong#Graduation2020
Official #COVID19 update in #Thailand on Saturday:
🔸3,025 people infected (+0)
🔸2,855 discharged from hospital (+1)
🔸114 still in hospital
🔸56 dead (+0)
For the second time, there are zero reported cases and zero reported deaths in Thailand. Another good day.
In an effort to try and organise my day better for #homelearning I thought I’d make a schedule for myself. I ran out of room on my whiteboard and I’m only at 8:55am... 🤣
@Guide_and_Lead@TrilliumHibbeln @LordJimKnight @bildungspunks @teresattung@SirKenRobinson@zelfstudie@DaphneKoller@DrBenLaker It will be disappointing when the time comes to go back to face-to-face learning, if all that happens is we go back to the status quo. Through this crisis comes an amazing opportunity to rethink essential curriculum and standardized assessment and be more adaptive for families.
Finding news ways to do my Morning Message during #onlinelearning. Also having a lot of fun practising with @ARMakrApp ready for our return. I cannot wait for the kids to meet Gerald @The_Pigeon
It would be ashamed if education comes out of this pandemic only to return to status quo. There hasn't been an opportunity for such sweeping changes in education for the last half century.
Less testing
More adaptability
Improved family/school partnership
Let kids learn like kids
