LLM’s are good. People think they’re the future. They’re very good at conversation, but linguistics is only one means of information exchange. Organisms evolve and learn by reacting properly to new information. 1 million years ago when a tiger was hungry a giraffe didn’t say to it “ok Mr tiger I’m going to walk around over here and I hope I don’t get eaten.” The giraffe found the most fertile spot for green leaves that were high up on trees to eat. The tiger laid in wait silently. The tiger saw the giraffe (increase in entropy within the tigers local sensory field) the tiger attacked. That’s why I find it funny that people think LLM’s are AGI. Also, AGI is dumb because it’s modeled after people like me. I’d rather know than think I know.
