New RWE data on the GMALL 2002 protocol in adult Burkitt lymphoma:
In a retrospective study of 48 pts, ORR was 81.6% with 3y-PFS/OS of 73%.
High toxicity, but no grade 5 events.
Burkitt leukemia & BM involvement = adverse factors.
Further trials needed.

@DrPharmDMDTh Teratoma-AFP?, Seminoma-LDH?🤔. This might need some revision. AFP can occure in immature teratocarcinoma and in approx. 30% hCG can be detected in peripheral vein blood in seminoma pts. LDH however - I think - is a strong prognostic marker all over seminoma and non seminoma.

Today we saw a 30 year old male with the new diagnosis of recurrent metastatic germ cell cancer. He has a history of prior severe anaphylactic reaction to etoposide. What salvage treatment would you suggest? 4xTIP or seq. HD-CE changing etoposide to etoposide phosphate?

Anybody using the ipfsg update calculator in the clinic on a regular basis?This calculation for example shows a rather low Pfs still for a „good prognosis“ constellation with NS. What to do with it?

Ever seen a Seminoma Patient with excessively high hCG levels, so that chorionic features are suspected? We worked up Patients with hCG levels >1000 U/l at first diagnosis finding a subtpye of pure Seminoma with Syncytiotrophoblasts

@stemagno74 @PTarantinoMD Mustard gas was used in WW I - "Loste" founded by Lommel and Steinkopf causing significant myelo suppression in wounded soldiers. Later "Loste" for treatment use were developed such as cyclophosphamide, bendamustin (developed in Eastern Germany), ifosfamide, melphalan and so on.
