You don't get to see yourself on a billboard everyday! This here tops all the cool things that have happened this year! @moringaschool done did the thing 🚀.
This is the first time in Kenya’s history diesel has gone up by Sh46 to Sh243 in a single fuel pricing cycle after an EPRA review.
When diesel goes up like that:
— Cost of living goes up
— Logistics costs go up
(Yet salaries remain the same)
VAT on FUEL:
2022: 8%
2023: Finance Bill pushed it to 16%
2026: We have reduced VAT to 13%. See? We are cushioning you. Clap for us!
No, please!

The Housing Levy is nothing short of legalized daylight robbery. Workers are taxed, their money is used to build houses, those houses are then sold to other people and the proceeds quietly disappear while the public keeps paying.
You cannot keep taxing people endlessly to fund projects that generate their own revenue. If houses are being sold, then the money earned from selling thousands of units should be used to build more homes. That is how a sustainable housing program works.
What we are witnessing is not housing justice but organized plunder. Kenyans are being turned into permanent financiers of a system that does not account for their money. thuggery. You cannot keep taxing people to build houses forever. Stop taxing People. #MapinduziKE
One of the fiercest, coolest and longest school rivalries in Kenya is between the great Lenana School and a school on Waiyaki Way called Nairobi School. Even if your own brother was in the other school, the beef was eternal.
Spicy Grilled Peri Peri Chicken, Chinsaga & Ugali with @dkmaraga a man who stands for something foreign to most leaders. INTEGRITY & FIDELITY TO THE CONSTITUTION.
President Ruto’s affordable housing has turned out to be many stalled projects, forced evictions, and has left many people struggling.
This thread covers the stalled projects in different counties.
Police in Kenya fired tear gas during protests at a school drama festival over Echoes of War, a play some officials consider critical of the government. The play is set in a fictional kingdom where youth have lost faith in their leaders. https://t.co/8U0oPnCopc
Ok so we are going here now are we... 2024 Amendment to the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crimes Act, grants NC4 new powers to issue demands to block (render inaccessible within the country) websites. This surely is a Slippery slope to unfettered web censorship #Reject
Feels like Kenyans are being hit with a legislative DDoS—an overwhelming wave of nonsensical bills—when the focus should be on demanding accountability & on addressing the high cost of living.
The aim seems to be to divert attention from real issues that need urgent solutions.
