Still off work sick so I’ll be settling down to watch Whistle Down the Wind on @TalkingPicsTV Perfect. This is my granddaughter the last time it was on. Total fluke that their hair matches!
@furbabygirl So some want to go back to scrunching up newspapers to burn on their fire and sleeping with coats on the bed to keep warm because that’s what they did decades ago? I’m 64 and I don’t want to go back to that! Maybe they could also find a 5-year-old to clean their chimneys first.
@teacherwriterPJ Ah, yes. I had my red pen handy every time they sent a letter home. Good to see that they’re still on the ball, electronically, almost 20 years later.
Dominic Raab won’t approve but I did indeed go the opera last week (it cost me £62).
Tom Eisner, a working-class lad from Buxton near where I grew up kindly invited me. He’s been playing violin at Glyndebourne for 36 years.
Never let anyone tell you you’re not good enough. 🎻
Standing in solidarity with our sister FE branches in the NW who are preparing for further strike action due tomorrow and on Friday, ending with a march and rally in Manchester. Please go and show your support for their continued fight for fair pay! #FEPayUp#FEStrike@nw_ucu
Just received a parking fine for overstaying by 15 mins at a fast food restaurant earlier this month. They were super busy and had long wait times on the day, yet have said it's nothing to do with them. £100 surcharge is a little excessive for a box meal, don't you agree? @kfc

On recent dog walk, got chatting to a lady I'd met a few times:
Her: Are you holidaying abroad this year
Me: I can't because of Covid & immunosuppressed family members
Her: But Covid is over now
Me: 1 in 45 people are infected & 1,000 ppl a week dying
Her: Not now though
