Heading for a probable spud shortage this year reminding me of 1976 and 1977 when other costs stayed the same giving a welcome boost to those with a good crop. In 2022 Potato farmers will not be in for a bonanza as all input costs have escalated.

Cheers to the Late Robin Pooley who presided over an exciting time for the potato industry and led the PMB forward. I always enjoyed meeting him at spud events.
Though he was eclipsed from time to time by Guy Morton another industry giant.
