@mtaibbi should look up Xactimate…it’s the insurance software that contractors are forced to use to get insurance companies to pay enough to homeowners to repair damage to their homes….The software was written by Statefarm and Farmers.
This is why homeowners in Malibu during the Woolsey fire had so much trouble getting funds to repair their homes and sued SCE.
@mtaibbi I’m a general contractor who has been doing insurance work in Southern California for over 10 years and I can tell you since the woolsey fire these insurance companies have no money. Homeowners are getting dropped left and right.
@elonmusk As a GC in Southern California most contractors won’t even deal with the permit process as it takes so long to get plan approvals from the city.
