Keep meaning to write a blog post. Finally done one - hopefully part of a series for edu-research novices. First up = retrieval based on Roediger & Karpicke

@Ankaman616 Really enjoyed these this year despite the results on the pitch. Hearing you all speak truthfully and with balance after such awful performances and results really helps to digest the frustration each time! Hope for a better year ahead but been saying that for too long now…
Reading X, you’d think no asylum hotels existed until Labour came to power last year
Numbers in asylum hotels have fallen since 2024. There’s more to do, but the hypocrisy of some like Jenrick who could’ve addressed this is an astounding combination of hypocrisy and opportunism
@lauriewhitwell@MU_ST This is outrageous. I know we all knew it was bad but these figures really bring that home. How bad will it get without the European revenue? Do they HAVE to win the EL this year to have any transfer budget next year?
@lauriewhitwell He’s right, it is the biggest problem and it’s refreshing to hear someone from the club acknowledge that but the team isn’t the cause of people losing their jobs. The financial mismanagement is.
@HeatherBellaF I started teaching 10 years ago and can safely say from my PGCE and the 2 years following, my school encouraged students searching for knowledge from post it notes around the room, using Blooms and Thinking Hats. Still have the lesson plans.
@AndyMitten Love this - absolutely spot on. He really cares about United and could be out of a job soon despite his personal sacrifice to support the club. Hope it works out well for him.
@MrWinMarshall You are a moron. People have to be convicted before they can be sentenced. Those rioters pleaded guilty, and so can be sentenced swiftly. The other case involves, potentially, a contested trial.
Embarrassingly thick.
@bphillipsonMP Great decision. Please consider the impact the defunding of any BTEC’s has on students ability to pursue the International Baccalaureate Careers Programme (IBCP) also.
@cllrtrisosborne Many congratulations from @The_GA to @cllrtrisosborne Tris Osborne MP & formerly a #geographyteacher@StroodAcademy
A lovely answer to the question "What can you do with #Geography in politics?" Get elected as the new MP for Chatham & Aylesford
@AndyMitten Would have said yes even before today. Significant injuries and lack of alternatives are the biggest factors. The manager merry go round at United has to stop. He’s a good manager, he’s shown that. Give him another season to prove it.
Great opportunity to come and work at a rapidly improving school (and with me) as Assistant Principal. Happy to answer any Q’s. https://t.co/2l6dtckwyq
This is simply repackaging the @iborganization IB Diploma (3 Highers and 3 standards) and the IB Careers Programme (BTEC as ‘major’ alongside a selection of subjects).
🚨Advanced British Standard
The govt has set out an example of the combination of subjects that could be studied by students aiming for certain careers under the ABS to replace A levels and T levels.
Interesting that subjects are split into "Majors"" and "Minors"👇
@Ankaman616 So depressing. True but depressing given the hope at the beginning. I’d still give him plenty of time given the manager merry go round we’ve been on and at this point I can’t be bothered with a new start, new style, optimism to just be let down again.
@jimmymcbride1 Same! Thought I was being a sore loser seeing City win it all but football as a whole is awful. United being a mess doesn’t help but countries owning clubs like Newcastle and City winning with no punishment for the 115 makes it all seem so pointless
Feel the same for first time ever. United on and off the pitch are a shambles. Don’t mind them not winning trophies but everything from top down is so poor. PL football as a whole is joyless with countries running clubs. Really depressing.
Losing my love for both Twitter & more so Man Utd tbh, so much so that yesterday’s embarrassment of a performance didn’t even make me upset, it just seemed like the norm, that along with the negativity surrounding the club just makes nothing about supporting Man Utd enjoyable atm
Questions rather than a personal statement proposed by UCAS. The last question is ridiculous. Not sure how this is anything but a more guided and prescriptive statement that allows those coached in them to still be more successful.
The late evenings for parents evenings/information evenings/open evening in Term 1 are brutal. Can’t remember feeling as exhausted after a single term. Waking up at 7am for Jude’s football training will be a delight
