AI, modeling & simulation @ a national lab π§ | Formerly: Actor/Film π¬
I used to model and work with scripts, now I model and work with scripts.
Opinions mine.
@ammaar I'm struggling with it, actually. GPT-5.4 using High/Extra-High reasoning is struggling to reverse-engineer the old DOS executable and data files. Not sure if because it's a complicated game or I don't have the right agent instructions...
We are entering an era where gitlab will no longer be useful. There will be no need for central repositories where humans share solutions. AI will write custom solutions for everyone. No more popular libraries, but a million versions of the same library, all slightly different.
I know this is going to piss some people off, but I hope @RockstarGames lets us have a station for AI-generated Jazz/Blues/Motown versions of old hits in #GTA6.
@Dan_Jeffries1 While I donβt necessarily disagree with you, this seems like a poor argument for it. History is lousy with things that did not happen until they did.
@karpathy Iβm not yet convinced that it is fundamentally all that different. Regardless of the mechanical pressures shaping each outcome, the overall goal of existing or not existing is still the ultimate pressure and the rapid iteration still mimics the same evolutionary process.
