@thinkdefence 5B each year on pay/infrastructure/accom, 5B on kit, restock weapons including support for drone development.
2 x T26, 5 x T31 with sonar etc. RFA purchase and T83 dev. GBAD for major bases and population. 24 Typhoons, 2 x E7, more P8's and A400's, Tempest. Plus Army kit.

@mpwarwick I think its a positive report, looks like we plan to buy 138 jets, report clearly states no decision on mix of A/B beyond 2035. Only concern is that there are currently no orders for the B line beyond 2035. F-35 was planned to replace Harrier and Tornado GR as I recall ?

@trenchgun91 @pinstripedline Totally agree, however concerning that the costings beyond 2035 are for A's so we will need more cash for B's and tgat the B line may be shut down by then anyway !

@Gabriel64869839 @NavyLookout I thought F-35 was purchased to replace Harrier and Tornado GR's so I have no issue with a mixed fleet as long as it does not affect Tempest and we eventually have @ 75 B's. No rush for F-35's while we cannot use our weapons on them though.

@MtarfaL 48 B's are not enough unless you only have one carrier 😱 the A will undermine Tempest and neither A or B have Block 4 and our weapons yet. 24 more Typhoon and 24-36 F-35B please ! 😁

@LeeWoods0722 @nicholadrummond In May I watched a Typhoon beat an F-35 In a turning fight over the UK. V lucky to see it. Typhoon is a proven developed platform with upgrades coming, we need more of them. F-35A purchase will undermine FCAS and F-35B needs the new software to perform as originally intended.

@tempmil93 @nicholadrummond That's the answer....... better work-share, keep the line open, mature platform, not every theatre needs stealth and we have lots of aircrew, active and retired who know the platform.
