Today marks Nakba Day, an annual day of remembrance to commemorate the expulsion of more than 700,000 Palestinians between 1947 and 1949 during the creation of the State of Israel and the year that followed.
Inea is a New Yorker and a Nakba survivor. She shared her story with us — one of home, tradition and memory over generations.
Woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic, and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth. #ApostolicJourney#Cameroon https://t.co/bKteFZ3iWE
Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.
Late last night the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force informed me that a plot against my life that was "about to" take place, and that agents had conducted an operation in Hoboken related to this plot. For months, Zionist organizations like Betar and politicians like Randy Fine have encouraged violence against my family and me. I will have more to say as additional details come to light. I will not stop speaking up for the people of Palestine. Thank you for your support.

NYT dutifully liberal-washes Trump’s bombing of Venezuela and abduction of its leader by embracing the “captured” framework. Maduro isn’t wanted by any international or legitimate legal regime, his “fugitive” status is pure assertion by only one UN member state out of 193.
Jordan is intercepting Iranian drones on behalf of Israel. Egypt is detaining activists headed for Gaza as part of the global march. The whole region needs freedom from Zionism.
Israel doesn’t have a right to exist as a Jewish state (helpfully defined by the 2018 nation-state law) because that’s apartheid and it’s illegal under customary international law
It will never fail to piss me off how student protesters at working class schools like Brooklyn College are both met with extreme police violence and basically ignored by media and politicians. All solidarity with the Columbia protesters but Brooklyn College students matter too.
ALL OUT TO BROOKLYN COLLEGE RIGHT NOW‼️
NYPD are moving into the Hassan Ayyad Liberation Zone but the students refuse to surrender until their demands are met 🇵🇸
Good morning, I wanted to let everyone know that I am tired of sitting on the sidelines as our city becomes unaffordable for the working class to learn and earn in. With NYPD the biggest gang in NY, Zohran doesn't go far enough,we need a commie in Gracie Mansion.
Vote Khalil!
