Somehow, despite all the evidence of the last year, despite Ukraine taking back most of its territory, despite victories at Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, much of the American media has fallen back into the default that Ukraine can't do much against Russia. Very odd.
None of the media explanations for Carlson's sudden firing are especially convincing. I can't help but wonder whether they have been put out there by Fox sources to distract us from something much worse.
