Yesterday’s engagement at the Innovation Village was both timely and transformational. Together with the Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, fellow leaders, innovators, and partners, we reflected on the urgent need to catalyze innovation, enterprise growth, and strategic collaboration as drivers of Uganda’s economic transformation.
I was particularly inspired by the passion and commitment of Rita and the entire Innovation Village team whose work continues to empower young people, nurture entrepreneurship, and create pathways for sustainable growth and opportunity.
The future of Uganda will be shaped by those bold enough to innovate, collaborate, and create solutions that respond to the realities of our time. Encouraged by the powerful conversations and the collective determination to build a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous economy for generations to come.

Another powerful lesson from today’s Cabinet Retreat: “Good policies do not speak for themselves”.
If government does not explain its actions, others will explain them—often incorrectly.
Effective communication is therefore not public relations; it is a strategic pillar of service delivery, accountability, trust-building, and national transformation.
As we pursue Uganda’s 10X Growth Strategy and NDP IV, our success will depend not only on what we deliver, but also on how effectively we communicate it to citizens.

My lived experience took me from suicidal addict to a positive psychology coach. Now my days are full of things I love, like writing. So here I write about the psychology in my story, one that arcs stagnation to self-actualisation, it might help you make sense of your own story.
The presentation on Diplomacy and Foreign Policy by PS Bagire on Day 5 of the retreat reaffirmed that effective diplomacy is built on coordination, protocol, national interest, and disciplined statecraft. Key lessons included the importance of unified government positions, strategic economic diplomacy, adherence to international law, and aligning all foreign engagements to Uganda’s development agenda. A timely reminder that diplomacy must ultimately deliver national transformation outcomes.
General @mkainerugaba will be on the ballot soon. How many of you will vote for him?
He possesses the qualities of a great leader vision, patriotism, courage, discipline, a commitment to national security and unity. Many believe he can consolidate the achievements already made and further boost economic growth, create opportunities for the youth, strengthen security, and advance Uganda’s development agenda.
