@GSpier I have visited the ME, never lived there.

So much of Germany after WW2 was due to the Marshall Plan and not just indiscriminate bombing.

I hope ‘regime change’ doesn’t turn out the way it did in Libya & Iraq. The current arrogance on display does not lend much confidence.

@GSpier Using the WW2 lens for everything is ‘man with a hammer’ syndrome as every solution will then look like a nail.

@GSpier You are making the point Guy. Reality is complicated, there are reasonable people in the middle. Drawing sides by pointing out nuts on the left is not a rational thought but a pathway to an ideological extreme on the right. Munger’s wisdom can help us stay sane here, and we must.

@GSpier One can be progressive, have sympathy for innocent lives lost in Palestine AND condone all forms of violence. Civilization is built on a non violent exchange of power.
