@andrewwaugh13 Why exactly is this bad? Would this not be expected considering the widespread COVID cases since December. Is there a point your making?
@donnadoutsk Love you Donna, but everyone has inherent bias. Becoming aware of that bias starts with admitting we have it so we can work to unlearn it. All the best!
@KathyWh78910826 @allegedly_adam Does that make it ok? I don’t think so. Many people in the LGBTQ+ community have ingrained negative bias because of their history of oppression. When everyone in a society is saying something about you, it’s normal to internalize that. It doesn’t make it ok tho.
@allegedly_adam also over the “stop being offended on other people’s behalf” narrative. Just because I’m not a gay man doesn’t mean I can’t empathize with them being offended by old school, boomer-ass stereotyping. It’s just a tool used to keep people from rallying behind marginalized people
@fireflysonata@Withered07@TheEmilyDBaker@TheAcademy The communication that asked him to leave may have come through his publicist who he was photographed talking to shortly after the incident. But I think this is a spin and they didn’t ask him to leave.
