Quienes reducen al lobo a un simple depredador ignoran —o prefieren ignorar— la complejidad de su función ecológica.

Su papel va mucho más allá de regular las poblaciones de ungulados y contribuir a evitar una presión excesiva sobre la vegetación. Los lobos también consumen frutos silvestres y pueden dispersar sus semillas a través de los excrementos, favoreciendo su propagación y contribuyendo a la regeneración vegetal.

El lobo no es un enemigo del monte. Es parte de su equilibrio. Su presencia conecta procesos ecológicos que van desde la dinámica de las poblaciones animales hasta la dispersión de semillas.

Por eso, matar lobos no es una decisión aislada: significa intervenir en una red de relaciones naturales que todavía estamos aprendiendo a comprender en toda su complejidad.

Un bosque sano necesita biodiversidad. Y la biodiversidad necesita lobos.

#REDCOVE Risso’s dolphins was driven into the Cove. There were babies among them, and 2 to 4 dolphins were reportedly dumped offshore. The rest of the pod were all killed, and their bodies were taken to the butcher’s house.
