@LXGear @C_B_M_Official Right right. It was a contributing factor I think, but not the main reason. It was probably a mix of Toriyama's passing as well as difficulties adjusting to what they were trying to accomplish that made the pivot. And yes as you said, it probably just wasn't working.

@C_B_M_Official I don't remember it super clearly, but Square Enix had a HUGE restructuring of their entire development department and they made some pretty big internal focus shifts, and this was around the time they were developing the original DQXII, so I think that was a contributing factor.
