This is a super exciting release - Claude Fable 5 is the same underlying model as Mythos but with added safeguards. The benchmarks are great and it's SOTA on everything by a margin but I'll add that *qualitatively* also, this is a major-version-bump-deserving step change forward (imo of the same order as Claude 4.5 was in November), peaking especially for long problem-solving sessions on very difficult problems. You can give it a lot more ambitious tasks than what you're used to, the model "gets it" and it will just go, and it's never felt this tempting to stop looking at the code at all (but don't do this in prod!). The model still has quirks that people will run into and the safeguards are configured to be a little too trigger happy for launch, which can hopefully be tuned over time.
I feel a lot of things changing as working software increasingly comes out on a tap. The Jevon's paradox kicks in and I feel my own demand for software growing substantially. You can ask for anything - explainers, visualizers, dashboards, bespoke single-use apps (e.g. a full wandb that is hyper-specific just for your project), you can 10X your test suite, auto-optimize code, run giant research projects with custom HTML for the results, anything! "Free your mind" (Matrix ref). Really looking forward to all the things people build!
IT WORKS!!
I can now successfully find gyms with a REAL gym with barbells, plates, and power racks 🏋️♀️
No shitty hotel gyms with just a treadmill and 10kg dumbbells anymore
All thanks to AI vision models 😍
Today, we’re open-sourcing the draft specification for DESIGN.md, so it can be used across any tool or platform. We’re also adding new capabilities.
DESIGN.md lets you easily export and import your design rules from project to project. Instead of guessing intent, agents know exactly what a color is for and can even validate their choices against WCAG accessibility rules.
Watch David East break down this shared visual language in action👇. New capabilities and links in 🧵
The creator of Claude Code teaches more about vibe-coding in 30 minutes than most tutorials do in hours.
Save this — it'll change how you build forever.
> use Claude Code for 3 months
> manually fix mistakes every day
> manually make sure claude did what you asked for
> no hooks
> discover hooks exist
> 10 minutes of setup
> all of this routine is now automatic
> never working same again
How to set up Claude so it never forgets you:
Prompts → Projects → Skills (explained in 3 mins)
Prompts = telling a stranger your job every morning.
Projects = giving a new hire a binder on day one.
Skills = training an employee once. For forever.
Step 1: Start with a Prompt (but don't stay there)
✦ Open Claude. Type your task. Get an answer.
✦ It works. But tomorrow? Claude forgot everything.
✦ You re-explain. Again. Every. Single. Chat.
✦ That's Level 1. Most people never leave it.
Step 2: Move to a Project
✦ Go to Claude .ai → Create a Project.
✦ Upload your voice file. Upload your instructions.
✦ Now every chat inside that Project knows you.
✦ Your context, style, and tone stick.
But you still have to open the right Project.
You still have to say "read my file first."
Step 3: Graduate to Skills
✦ Open Claude Cowork.
✦ Select Opus 4.6 + Extended Thinking.
✦ Prompt: "Use the skill-creator to help me build a skill for [your most repeated task]."
Claude interviews you. Answer extensively.
"I write reports" is useless.
"I write weekly reports that start with the headline metric, 3 sections max, next steps as bullets" is a Skill.
The specificity is the skill.
Step 4: Install and test
✦ Save the Skill folder.
✦ Go to Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload.
✦ Open a new chat. Type your task normally.
✦ The Skill fires on its own. No slash command.
✦ Claude just knows.
I just wrote my full Claude Skills breakdown. It covers setup, the skill-creator walkthrough, and the 7 hacks I found buried in Anthropic's docs.

🚨 IMPORTANT: Google quietly open sourced a time-series AI that predicts anything.
Sales trends. Market prices. User traffic. Energy demand. Crypto volatility.
It's called TimesFM. Here's why it's underrated:
→ Pre-trained on 100B real-world data points
→ Zero-shot forecasting, no fine-tuning needed
→ Outperforms supervised models trained on your specific data
→ Runs locally. Free. Apache license.
Most people are focused on language models.
The quietly powerful ones are learning to predict the future.
Labor, the Coalition and One Nation all just voted against an amendment I put up to call on the Government to get a fair deal on the sale and export of Australian gas by instituting a 25 per cent tax on LNG export revenue, which is estimated to generate $17 billion a year.
They're running a protection racket for the gas industry rather than standing up for Aussies.
*Senators Lambie, Payman and Thorpe were unable to attend the vote for personal reasons.
🚨 BREAKING: Claude has a secret mode called "Nash Equilibrium Strategist."
It maps any negotiation, competitive situation, or multi-player decision onto formal game theory, calculates the Nash Equilibrium, and tells you the mathematically optimal move.
Not generic advice. Actual strategic math applied to your real situation.
Here's how to activate it:
