Russia is currently starving and killing off the entire civilian population of the occupied parts of Kherson Oblast. Russia is not supplying the occupied people with food and medicine and the Russian military is preventing them from leaving.

@thehipofficial Saw you do this at The Colorado Music Hall in Colorado Springs, CO. A cold wintery night in April ‘99. Great show! Became a fan that night, thank you 🤟
Meaningless drivel from a feeble old showman who cannot act against Russia. It's the Trump version of a standard, equally meaningless White House statement of "grave concerns and unacceptable behavior". Neither would result in any action.
David Gilmour paid tribute to Prince by playing the guitar solo from "Purple Rain".
This was shortly after Prince's passing on April 21, 2016.
Gilmour seamlessly incorporated the solo into his performance of "Comfortably Numb", blending the two iconic pieces of music in a heartfelt homage.
Trump and his people have exhibited no interest in the legally required transition process. I suspect it's for two reasons:
1) As of 2019, they have to sign certain ethics pledges, AND reveal all conflicts of interest. I don't think they want to do that.
But also...

Meanwhile in Russia: Putin's presidential aide Nikolay Patrushev said, "To achieve success in the election, Donald Trump relied on certain forces to which he has corresponding obligations. As a responsible person, he will be obliged to fulfill them."
"We're in a swirl of disinformation in this country so that a lot of people who voted for Trump, really truly voted for things that were the opposite of what they say they wanted." -@HC_Richardson on @weeklyshowpod
The next 4 years are going the be the find out phase for the MAGA folk who voted against their own self interest.
One of Trump's clearest "accomplishments" is how thoroughly he's desensitized America to behavior that, in another era, voters would have deemed disqualifying. Plenty of blame to go around—media, craven GOP pols, blundering Dems—but this may be one of his most enduring legacies.
How do fascists derail democracy? If you study history (or read Project 2025), it’s almost like there’s a recipe book: goose the economy, abolish unions, privatize what’s public, win the support of tycoons. But at what cost? Mesmerize your base so they don’t care. Blind them with your fear-mongering, lies, and promises. Fascism needs a bold leader…the only one who can fix things…a dictator who has the vision and expects others to follow (including women…whether they like it or not).
I believe that history is indeed speaking to us — and those who refuse to learn from it are doomed to repeat it. To learn how fascism hijacked Germany a century ago, just watch this five-minute clip. If you care about our democracy and love our country, it’s hard to stop watching.
This is an excerpt from my hourlong public television special “The Story of Fascism in Europe,” which is streaming free (and ad-free) at https://t.co/YA10kVH0V8. When I produced it back in 2018, I hoped this day would never come in our country. But November 5th is upon us.
Please share this with anyone in your life who might need a reminder that the stakes are high…and this is very real.
Willie McGee will begin a new role as Special Assistant to the President of Baseball Operations.
McGee, a Cardinals Hall of Fame outfielder, first joined the front office in 2013 and has served on the Major League coaching staff since 2018.
One day after Trump argued there was a peaceful transfer of power in 2020
VP Harris, speaking in Pennsylvania:
"He sent a mob, an armed mob, to the United States Capitol where they violently assaulted police officers"
"He refused to engage in the peaceful trnasfer of power"
