Say NO to Mob Justice — Demand Rule of Law and Protection for Minorities.

In Gosala Bazar of Lalmonirhat, Bangladesh, a Hindu father and son — both barbers by profession — were brutally beaten and handed over to the police over an alleged derogatory remark about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This is a deeply alarming and condemnable incident.

👉🏽 First, if there is any allegation, the only legitimate path to resolution is through proper investigation and the justice system. None of us are judges. Mob justice is barbarism — it is neither part of Islamic teachings nor a trait of humanity.

👉🏽 Second, Bangladesh is constitutionally a secular nation. It is the state's duty to ensure the safety and dignity of religious minorities. Yet, we keep witnessing the same pattern: rumors and provocations leading to attacks, threats, and harassment against minorities.

👉🏽 Third, those who claim to love the Prophet (PBUH) and then raise their hands in violence are betraying his legacy. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was Rahmatul-lil-Alamin — a mercy to all creation. His character was gentle, just, and forgiving.

📢 We strongly demand:

An impartial investigation into the incident

A fair trial for the accused in a court of law

Accountability and legal action against those who took the law into their own hands

State protection for the life and safety of all minority communities

There must be no violence in the name of religion in Bangladesh. Let humanity and justice be our true identity.
