We've made the ultimate Google Calendar bot for Discord, and (after five months of work) it is finally ready to add to your server. Check the ๐งต to see what we do.
@ItsAliAvali@TheTavernApps Glad it is working for you! We've been working for 2 years to make the best calendar bot we can dream up. There is also a full templating system to customize event messages if you want to tweak things.
If you have any questions let me know or drop into our support server.
@derrickreimer Just finished listening to your podcast episode this morning and checked out the new @savvycal site design. I love it, but had an issue on mobile scrolling that I wanted to let you know about. This was on Android Chrome. Keep up the great work!
@ItsAliAvali@DecoyAvali@ItsAliAvali Don't build a Google Calendar sync from scratch, we've had that feature working for two years now and sync millions of events to Discord every month.
@PirateSoftware@MissKyliee@discord@teamguilded For a better Discord calendar system give us a try. We use Google Calendar as the event source and automate a bunch of the Discord messages you would want to send (reminders, change notifications, summary of upcoming events, etc.) We even create and manage native Discord events.
@ItsAliAvali@ZephyrFerret Wow! Sorry, that is a wild move by Guilded. If you need some help with a Discord calendar we might be able to help. Not equivalent to Guilded's calendar but something.
iCal feeds have been added to Notifiers for those of you who would rather pull from something other than Google Calendar. This opens up calendar source options such as Twitch for your Discord reminders, summaries, or Discord Event Sync.
Event Feeds can pull Discord Events from your server and sync them to a Google Calendar. Updates to your Discord Events are reflected to you GCal in real-time as you add, update, reschedule, or cancel events. For those of you who like managing things in Discord, this should help.
@peaachxo@discord Yes, kind of. Discord has an event system, but no weekly/monthly calendar view or reminders for server members (unless they click Interested on an event).
@theracingline @grotezk_ Currently yes, but mostly because we haven't had a user come to us with a private one yet. Google, Facebook, etc all use obscure but public iCal urls.
No reason it couldn't be though. We do oauth2 for native Google Calendars and Office365 since those are private by default.
@theracingline @grotezk_ Keep up the great work! One rec: Approach an iCal feed as another per user view, not an export. It ends up becoming an integration point with systems like ours as we don't export the data to save, but rather consume the feed to sync your updates to users' systems like Discord.
@calamityandy No, I wish there was but that isn't something @discord allows for. The closest you can get is to insert the Discord Event link above the embed like this in a Reminder Template. That will cause Discord to insert the event card with the Interested button, but it doesn't look good.
#TopggStaffPicks - With ChronicleBot, event management has never been easier! You can sync your Discord events with your Google Calendar in real-time.
You should give it a try, you definitely won't regret it!

I've been making improvements to the CvS2 Discord this week. In doing so I stumbled upon ChronicleBot, a Discord app that syncs Google calendars to the Discord events listing.
Good news for me! Now I don't have to worry about forgetting to list the regular JP streams/tourneys.
