Frontier tech and crypto are converging.
Crypto projects part of the AI buildout:
$DATA → Licensing and verifying AI training data.
$CHIP → Financing GPU hardware through onchain loans.
$PEARL → Merging proof-of-work with AI compute, letting miners earn rewards while powering compute.

LATEST: ⚡️ Blockchain’s role in AI is expanding beyond tokens and agents to real infrastructure, argues Grayscale's Zach Pandl.
He points to DATA for crowdsourcing training data, USD.AI for GPU-backed compute loans, and Pearl for dual-use GPU monetization.
Not enough electricity in the world. AI broke two constraints: watts & TB. #XCH: consensus on disks, ~0 marginal power. HDD lead 52wks, sold to '28. #PRL: one watt, spent twice — work + AI compute (#PoUW). One anchors TB, one anchors watts. Faith can't cure anxiety. Anchors can.
In case you're wondering about the state of quantum safety on Chia, Sol just one-shotted supporting SHRINCS in chialisp. Will work on chain right this minute and only took a few minutes https://t.co/DI26mR0VJu
@ericliu55667788@chia_pizza@chia_project Chia’s current state: groundbreaking technologies including PoST, Offers, and game state channels, paired with abysmal marketing and community ecosystem operations.
This is how I got $PRL pilled
I was doing my research and got on a call with a early @prlnet miner
His FIRST line on the call was “There is not enough electricity in the world”
I was like wait what do you mean
He SECOND line on the call was “There is not enough electricity in the world”
I was shooketh because it dawned on me that crypto mining is kinda retarded and will trend to zero
And AI will eat the world and we need hash rate tied to AI computation
“BTC cannot tap into this energy - it competes with AI for electricity, whereas Pearl scales with AI adoption. That is the main argument for PRL..” @WeinsteinOmri
@jeremiahrogers $PRL and chia:native each have their own novel consensus mechanism. The real gap isn't the tech — one plays by crypto's unwritten rule, the other came in arrogant. I hold both, and I don't consider XCH a failure.
@brezshares@prlnet Wrong dimension. Bitcoin's ~150 TWh is a pure expense: burned to secure the chain and nothing else. Pearl's 1.5 TWh powers useful inference the market pays for — so its net cost of security is near zero. Not "1% of Bitcoin's footprint"; a security budget that pays for itself.
Also, pearl-2:native is a much more "pure" asset that came in with AI PoUW as their mission, whereas base:0x9b5e262cf9bb04869ab40b19af91d2dc85761722 started with zkPoW and later added AI PoUW after seeing the excitement around pearl-2:native
Markets have historically not rewarded copycats.
Anyone from Zcash in the house? We have home brew AI auditing tools which we've successfully used on Chia and Bitcoin and would like to offer to run it on Zcash
Do you think you’ve mastered the Permuto svPerps volatility? Next week, we’re launching the Permuto Volatility Cup. If you’re ready to put your trading or market making skills to the test, enter the challenge for a chance to win $25,000 worth of XCH in each competition!
Okay, this is seriously cool. A Linux kernel that fills up your free space with plots in the background and it automatically frees up space when you need it.
