Something to remember this Christmas - autistic kids reactions to gifts can be different to expected - this week I’ve been told my kids reactions to gifts are rude. I’ve been asked to work harder to make them behave differently. It seems it’s considered a fault in my parenting.

@MelisandeMarie I work in an open environment and it is very challenging for me. I often go in two hours early to get things done. There are noise cancelling ear buds that will help and also keep you safe from the unfair stigma of full headphones.

Found this note my dad wrote by his AC unit. What a fucked up world it is that my dad, who has worked his entire life, has to live in fear that anything can tip them over the edge of having absolutely nothing. It hurts my heart - my dad is the absolute best.
