So proud of our @ChurchillAcad debate teams tonight in the regional finals. They were amazing!! Not only did we have the winning team but the runners up too! Whoop! Whoop!!
Last night saw phenomenal performances from year 8 debating teams in Churchill Academy's annual speaking competition, this year hosted by @RotaryGBI. Their oracy and team work skills shone and they should be very proud of themselves. Well done and thank you to all involved.
Offered Yr 9s a’fun, creative’ lesson to present key learning aspects of A-level Media taster module.We had low angle shots justified in a drama sketch about Theresa May being injected with liquid Jaffa cake,whilst one group artistically discussed mise-en-scene & baby dinosaurs.
High drama in Year 10 English today with the Quotes World Cup Final. The whole class were split into 16 pairs in Rd 1. Whoever knew the most quotes for a particular Inspector Calls character, progressed. The whole class cheered these two on at the end in a tense 5-4 finish!

Today is #HolocaustMemorialDay We remember all those who lost their lives to Nazi persecution, and to the thousands around the world who still suffer oppression because of race, ethnicity or religion.
Our KS3&Year 9 students @ChurchillAcad continue to impress in English h/w revision with evidence of independent use of learning strategies. Our vision: all students will have the core knowledge& skills embedded by Year 11 through continued retrieval practice in class & at home.
