@LeeBraganza You’ve loads of suggestions already but came to say that I have children around the same ages as you and would recommend Windmill Hill City Farm and Blaise Castle as two lovely things to do in the nice weather this week. Hope you are having a great time!
Just finished We Are All Made of Molecules and LOVED IT. Thanks for the recommendation @daveg5478 Definitely think it would be a good addition to our KS3 curriculum!
@librarymice I am vegan at the moment. My little one is allergic to dairy and eggs (and soya and coconut) and reacts through my milk so my diet has had a bit of an overhaul! I’m very happy to Google translate 😃
An excellent opportunity for anyone interested in decolonising the curriculum and antiracist education, where experiences from education institutions from across the city, school to university, will be shared.

@SusanSEnglish Yes definitely! I like to get two texts that are about the same person or event from two different sources. Great for getting to the nitty gritty of AO3 as it often really highlights bias and gets them comparing representations (so AO4 too).
@SusanSEnglish You don’t seem clueless to me! It can be daunting as it feels like the course is always evolving but that’s also a great plus. I love being able to use texts that have only just been created to hone analysis of how representation influences modern lives and society.
Flicking through the Weston Mercury I spotted this. It’s a photograph of the original Churchill School building going up in September 1969. And in the back pages of the paper there are plenty of Churchillians achieving success in sports #feelingproud#legacies#sundayreflection
Does anyone know of any studies or journal articles that explore teacher subject knowledge and ability to teach? I want to know if teachers who were extremely good at a subject at school struggle to relate to low-attaining students in their classrooms. Thanks in advance!
