B.PAC participated in the Road Safety Month – 2026 Closing Ceremony, organized by the @blrcitytraffic Bengaluru Traffic Police on 5 February 2026 at Palace Grounds.
Priyanka Krishnan and S. Divya from the https://t.co/ER1cZPY3Ro program delivered a session titled “Crash Blackspots: From Neglect to Correction.” The presentation outlined B.PAC’s road safety interventions under the IRR Street: Standstill to Active project along the Inner Ring Road, the Saving Lives Project (supported by WRI India), and initiatives in HSR Layout.
The session detailed B.PAC’s data-driven approach to crash analysis, on-ground audits, and multi-stakeholder coordination to systematically identify, prioritise, and address high-risk crash locations where multiple fatalities have occurred.
B.PAC also set up an interactive stall showcasing project panels, methodologies, implementation outcomes, and engagement activities. The team interacted with Shri @dineshgrao, Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, traffic police officials, government representatives, road safety experts, and members of the public to discuss scalable solutions for improving urban road safety.

We are honoured by the visit of Hon’ble Justice Abhay Manohar Sapre, Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and Chairman of the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety, to a transformed crash blackspot on Bengaluru’s Inner Ring Road on 19th December.
Near Airview junction, Bengaluru Traffic Police and B.PAC showcased to the Hon'ble Justice how strategic yet simple traffic calming measures across four crash blackspots under the 'IRR Street Standstill to Active' project helped curb over-speeding and improve road safety. Measures such as speed humps, raised pedestrian crossings, rumble strips and signages, implemented by GBA formerly BBMP TEC East with BTP, reduced fatalities on this corridor from four in 2023 and five in 2024 to one in 2025.
We are grateful to Shri Karthik Reddy, Joint Commissioner of Police - Traffic, for the invitation and continued support from his team in advancing road safety in the city.

Under the Saving Lives project, supported by WRI India, work is in progress to improve seven more blackspots in close coordination with Bengaluru Traffic Police. Proposals are currently being taken forward with GBA Central for execution.

@kuberiitb@BPACofficial Also please ask for adequate stormwater drain and cross slopes to kerb inlets to be addressed. Else pothole fixing will be a never-ending exercise if water stagnates on roads.
@kuberiitb@BPACofficial Could you try meeting the Chief Engineer of your Corporation along with a group of local citizens? Submit a printed letter and keep one copy with their seal of acknowledgement with you. Let me know if it helps.

The HSR 17th Main Road recently witnessed a tragic loss of life due to an uneven stretch. Following this, a letter was submitted and a site inspection was conducted with Mr. Ravi, Chief Engineer, GBA South Zone-2, and Mr. Ramu, AEE, along with B.PAC, B.CLIP leaders, and local HSR residents.
We’re glad to share that GBA has now levelled the road up to the concrete drain with tar — a small but meaningful step toward safer neighbourhoods.
But there’s more to be done. Improved streetlighting, removal of illegal parking, better stormwater management, and walkable footpaths are essential for ensuring safety on this stretch.
Let’s continue working together for better and safer streets.

B.PAC, MSRIM students and BTP Team Up for Road Safety Awareness at KR Circle:
B.PAC along with students of M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Management and the Bengaluru Traffic Police, conducted a Road Safety Awareness Campaign on Thursday morning, 13th November at KR Circle. Through a series of impactful street plays, the students highlighted the importance of wearing ISI-certified helmets, using seat belts, slowing down, and being mindful of vulnerable road users such as helping the visually impaired and showing patience while children and senior citizens cross streets.
The highlight of the performance was a student playing the role of Yamaraj, who jokingly warned riders about the dangers of name-sake helmets and not respecting the pedestrian crossing. The event drew the attention of several commuters at the busy junction. With Bengaluru losing over 70 lives every month to road crashes and struggling with speeding, distracted driving, and non-use of safety gears, the initiative aimed to remind citizens that simple everyday choices can prevent tragedies. The campaign received strong support from Ulsoor Gate Traffic Police and appreciation from commuters on the call for action for empathy, caution, and responsible road behavior.

Mr. M. N. Anucheth, IPS, Former Joint Commissioner of Bengaluru Traffic Police @blrcitytraffic , shared his reflections on the collaboration with B.PAC for the Intermediate Ring Road (IRR) Project. The IRR, a 7.5-kilometre lifeline connecting Indiranagar, Domlur, Ejipura, and Koramangala, has long struggled with traffic congestion, unsafe pedestrian access, missing crossings, and unreliable bus services. To address these challenges, B.PAC launched the IRR Street: Standstill to Active initiative in June 2023, partnering with GBA @GBA_office, @BMTC_BENGALURU, Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP), and BSWML.
This effort reimagines IRR through a data-driven and participatory approach, focusing on making buses more reliable, streets more walkable, and roads safer. The project is gradually reshaping one of Bengaluru’s busiest corridors into a safer, more accessible, and commuter-friendly space for all. Watch Mr. Anucheth talk about the journey and impact of this initiative.
Join hands with B.PAC to transform Bengaluru into a safer, smarter, and more inclusive city. Calling all CSR partners, organisations, and committed citizens — your support can accelerate real, on-ground impact. Explore the IRR initiative here: https://t.co/oLbmxDU8Jx

@varun067@BMTC_BENGALURU@Sriram_sv check here for MF5 Bus stops. Few bus stops are different on both directions. Check the * & ** after each name. We at @BPACofficial worked with @BMTC_BENGALURU, and 8 buses and 100 trips got added to MF5 route due to IRR project Bus data analysis.
@varun067 It was so kind of the lady autodriver. Try the MF5 (formerly 201D) bus. There are 25 buses & 269 trips/day both ways. So, about 5 minute frequencies. Try Namma BMTC app for tracking. You can rely on it, reduce traffic, save money. Let me know if this helps.

@Sriram_sv@just99920725@varun067 Try MF5 (or 201D) - it has 25 buses & 269 trips/day, about 5 minute frequency. I have sent MF5 route poster in comment to the post.
201G has 93 trips/day now. Other buses in the route are V-MF6, 201BB, 201Q, 201J, 201V.
