@LBC I’ve lived in my current house almost 7 years, I still regularly get nhs letters for a family of 4 that used to live here - I return them undelivered but it hasn’t ever stopped
@Ants1875@karen_flynn English water, with the exception of the Thames gateway water treatment works, is not desalinised. Granted, it’s not on a par, but you know 🤭
@daiz11 I bloody hate arenas, I refused to go see the o2 reunion gig (and friends tell me it was shite) but I’ve since regretted missing things and might relent through gritted teeth!
@drkeithsiau I wondered if the crusty lesion might be a skin cancer and done some reading and seen there are topical treatments for more minor ones so I’m going with that
@cannula_service@benn_elisbenn@ImperialNHS I’d imagine the person specification would make it clearer. I’m not here for fight. I am also not uniformed but I’m also not rude so I’ll leave it there.
@cannula_service@benn_elisbenn@ImperialNHS Prescribing is 6 months with (I want to say hundreds) of hours supervision. Minor injury and illness courses teach theory, trainee ENPs are supervised 1:1 in practice and they are very much taught about not assuming minor and referring up!
@benn_elisbenn@cannula_service@ImperialNHS And the training isn’t just a few months, it’s much longer and a supervised training post. But they just want to jump in, see something they don’t understand and say it’s unsafe.
@benn_elisbenn@cannula_service@ImperialNHS This post isn’t about that, the tread starter seems to be posting about a role they haven’t even looked into properly. I assume you have heard of nurse practitioners, that is the post being advertised here and it is an established role which the public understand 1/2
@benn_elisbenn@cannula_service@ImperialNHS No, they have to do other courses to be qualified to apply so already in training. Minor injuries and minor illnesses courses are months long and they ask for prescribing too….the problem with this doctor led let’s get rid of PAs is it’s now targeting already established roles!
@Lolololoo222@cannula_service@ImperialNHS Enp’s have been around since the 1992 and standard for minor injuries since. They are not new, have a little look at some journals about nurses practitioners in the emergency department
@T0ASTERWAFFLES@AshleyGWinter@PaulChapman1954 Very important to fill out if you have a smartphone. All paramedics and emergency staff know to check it when you can’t respond- mine has my medical history, medications, emergency contacts etc
@rorycam1@Jenny_1884@NotFarLeftAtAll Crutches we absolutely do re use everywhere I’ve worked (which is about 10 hospitals) (unless bent) we have new pads for the bases and can completely sanitise them
@Babs45Babs@Rucksackwriter@agemjourney If it will change management, eg suspected dislocation or is the great toe yes but if not no xr… must be about 15 years ago this became standard practice
