@LukeMitchell@IrishTimes I would say it depends what you're looking to do, and what your work history has been. But my activation officer really didn't trust me when I said I didn't need help, and only ever told me to move sector.
@CarlHar56574552@PMc276 People up and down the country are claiming that the *only* reason they oppose IPAS centers is because the locality doesn't have enough resources - such as schools places, or doctors. and that they'd be fine if they just had more resources.
Is that not true?
@dftwaterfall@FrankmcnallyIT It can also be used in the media because if it classed as an "editorial" , essentially it is only documenting, and not being used to promote or sell something.
@estelleleecopy @speakoutsister@orlafee1 How can that possible be true in this case?
You, or any person on the street have not seen a scan of my uterus or details of my chromosomes. Those are the not actual reason you see people as a woman.
@pl_european@Feljin_J Isn't this virtue signalling?
The entire reason we got into this mess is because we enjoyed convenience and frequent holidays. Now everyone is accustomed to it, reducing our dependence is going to suck.
Sure, everyone deserve a holiday. But at what cost?
@josefoshea Most of these folks signed up for nothing more than a power grab and will probably never turn up to council meetins when they learn they are there to discuss traffic lights, parks ad potholes.
@ScottThom8 @TezTruth81 Hi random americans. this vote is for local government - people who build parks and fix roads. Anyone who is a resident, living and working here, can vote for this.

not exactly stuff you need to go to war over. calm down.
@Clambellys @TezTruth81 It's the country council. People who live in an area can vote for who's on it.
What kind of restrictions would you place on electing who discusses potholes?
I think one obvious thing is how many local candidates running had no real interest in doing the job. They wanted any kind of power to push an agenda and would take any steps they could to get there.
But a good county councillor should care about parks and potholes.
@ElectionWatch47 You were the only candfdate on the ballot who didn't give a home address. Are you local to the area? No background info given whatsoever.
You didn['t have any info on what your intention is for being on the county council?
@Truthskr84@rtenews not in favour of killing the dogs, but through restrictions on sales, and breeding, we do need to discourage new owners from getting these dogs.
So many of the people looking for this breed specifically wanted a scary looking dog as some kind of status symbol.
@Truthskr84@rtenews They are a new breed, bred to be bigger and more powerful, right? Why do people need to get these dogs over other breeds? All dogs have the potential to bite, but some can do more harm than others.
Does't it make sense to reduce the number of dogs whose bites are more dangerous?
@ItsJustJames85@rtenews The capability for harm of the breed is the issue.
I've been bitten by small breeds too.
You can minimise the prevalence of dogs who are capable of actually killing a human. All dogs can attack, but there's no reason people need to breed dogs who can do so much more harm.
