This is the third case I’ve read recently of unacceptable behaviour, none of whom were prohibited from teaching. This seems very unfair to the vast majority of teachers who can uphold the profession

Headteacher "Dear Recruiter, we want a School Business Leader, they must be a qualified accountant, by the way what is the difference between A Level Accounting, AAT and ACCA? We also need them to be highly competent in terms of HR, ideally qualified, since they need to jump between advising on the various complexes of the burgundy book and then chasing some references for cleaners. They also need to have experience in health and safety, COSHH, fire safety. Competent in managing ICT, both strategic and operational. Full understanding of various business legislation. Experience of being a company secretary as well. Managing and leading large teams is a must"

Recruiter "ok, that is a bit of an ask, but yes I may know a few potential candidates. What is the pay?"

Headteacher " budgets are tight, so they must start at 8am every day, 28 days leave, can only take that during school holidays but also must cover school holidays, be on site every day, and the pay is £38k"

@schoolbusmgr Next gen has been promised for years but never materialised. Their market share is plummeting and unless you are tied into them contractually I’d start shopping around. I use Arbor and Access
