“I always ask people to pray for wisdom and for courage for their leadership. Pray for wisdom that we know the path God wants us to walk. Pray for courage that we have the ability to walk that path.”
I'm proud to continue celebrating our brave men and women in law enforcement, especially during National Police Week.

This week, sheriffs’ offices from across Florida came together for the FSA Task Force Operations and Hurricane Response training. Over three days, 40 sheriffs’ offices and nearly 100 attendees worked side by side to strengthen coordination, communication, and readiness ahead of hurricane season.
This training is the foundation for how we respond when disasters occur.
From establishing forward operating teams and understanding disaster assistance agreements, to refining communication protocols and working alongside state partners, each session focused on real-world application. Participants engaged directly with the Florida Division of Emergency Management and toured the State Emergency Operations Center, reinforcing how local and state resources align during a crisis.
Attendees participated in building and sustaining all-hazards response plans, ensuring every agency leaves prepared to serve their communities in disasters.
When a storm is headed our way, Florida’s sheriffs are not starting from scratch. They already know each other, they know the plan, and they know how to work together to get help where it is needed.
That work is happening now.
Our Marine Unit has been out on the water the past few days, helping keep the river safe and secure for aircraft scooping water to battle ongoing wildfires.
The planes used can drop 1,200–1,600 gallons of water each, while larger air tankers can drop 2,000–4,000 gallons of fire retardant.
We’re incredibly grateful for the first responders working tirelessly to protect Clay County. This is what teamwork looks like.

After an extensive child exploitation investigation, a 39-year-old Middleburg man was arrested by the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
On April 16, 2026, the Clay County Sheriff's Office SWAT team served a search warrant at the suspect's residence on Orchid Ave in Middleburg. Detectives received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and immediately began their investigation.
During the investigation, child sexual abuse material, along with computer generated child sexual abuse material was discovered.
A search warrant was obtained as a result of this investigation, which was conducted by the Clay County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit, with assistance from the North Florida INTERCEPT task force and Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). The occupants of the residence exited and were detained without incident.
The occupants were interviewed by CCSO ICAC detectives while the residence was processed for evidence. As a result of this investigation, probable cause was developed to arrest one of the occupants, 39-year-old Tracy Dean Burke, for 10 counts of knowingly possessing and intentionally viewing child sexual abuse material. Burke was booked into the Clay County Jail, however the investigation is still ongoing.
Anyone with information that might be of assistance in this investigation is encouraged to contact Detective Lance Parker at [email protected] or by phone at 904-264-6512. You can also remain anonymous by calling First Coast Crime Stoppers by dialing **TIPS or by submitting a tip through the SaferWatch app.
@Delta Kudos to this young man who patiently walked this elderly lady to her seat. He was so sweet and respectful the entire time. THIS is why we fly Delta!

@MikeRob42685871@Andrew_Maj42@TeamTrump47 This is an old video. This incident was already reported and investigated. Unfortunately vigilantes sending provocative pics and posing as juveniles does not make a criminal case.
