@Lyuyu1987@elonmusk This has nothing to do with politics and you don’t understand the difference between art (which can be either good or bad) and slop, which isn’t art but just a plagiarized imitation of it.
I called it retarded because it comes up every time I post about AI "art." There's some dumb assumption that this has something to do with being "woke." Or that the only alternative to AI slop is "Hollywood woke" content. Real people can make right-leaning, left-leaning, or apolitical content. AI can generate right-leaning, left-leaning, or apolitical content. "Wokeness" is irrelevant no matter how you cut it.
@VistaLargaGames@elonmusk Why do you retards associate disliking AI slop with "woke?" How low IQ are you? I'm a conservative Trump supporter and artists and audiences across the political spectrum prefer real art. Falsely pretending this is about politics is the cope.
@RevivreEnFrance@elonmusk I'm a conservative Trump supporter. The politics has nothing to do with whether it's slop. This is such a completely retarded argument.
@Contrarian08 I'm a conservative Trump supporter. I've done Gutfeld and wrote for The Babylon Bee (before they turned to AI slop). Why do you falsely pretend this is a political issue or has anything to do with "wokeness?" It's dumb.
I don't think AI is going away, and there are applications in some fields of science and tech where it may be very useful. But it doesn't belong in art and it's never going to be more than a lazy gimmick. There will always be real artists, and larger audiences will always prefer that to slop.
Real art can be good or bad. You can certainly argue that many Hollywood films are bad and that their political agenda has made things worse. But AI slop is a meaningless, plagiarized imitation of art. The problem isn’t just that it’s bad, it’s that it’s not art in the first place.
Before making this long-winded stupid explanation, it’s worth understanding it’s just a lazy crutch and the output is always slop no matter how you use it or justify it. If a good athlete uses steroids, they still cheated. If a smart student copies someone else’s answer, they still cheated. If a great writer plagiarizes one paragraph, they still cheated. Same goes for AI in “art.”
@SpocksBruder@adeyemi_leon@elonmusk No it doesn’t. It gives the masses the ability to lazily and cheaply plagiarize. The point of art is human talent and creativity and that’s why exceptional art is rare, not mass produced by everyone.
@Perfumeapsara@elonmusk Yall keep saying this and it’s always crap. You’re dazzled by the visuals and enamored by the idea of this technology, but the output is always lame slop that only imitates art with no meaning or substance.
@Onealster@elonmusk Van Gogh, Monet, Klimt, and Picasso are real artist, the exact opposite of AI. This is legit one of the most retarded takes I’ve ever seen.
@adeyemi_leon@elonmusk AI slop is not the solution to Hollywood’s decline, it is a product of the same lazy motivations - to make as much formulaic, derivative, mass-marketable content as cheaply and quickly as possible.

"Backrooms" director Kane Parsons says that using AI "defeats the purpose" of filmmaking:
“If I could snap my fingers and make generative AI disappear forever, I probably would. Creatively, I get no enjoyment from using those tools. It defeats the purpose entirely for me.”
